54-Day Election Novena

Unrest in the streets. Violence. Chaos. Riots. Confusion reigns, morally and politically. An election looms that could determine the future of the United States, and the wrong choice could mean the slide to destruction. We're calling on Catholics everywhere to join us in fighting to restore truth, goodness and virtue to our nation by picking up the spiritual weapon of the Rosary and calling on Our Lady — our 12-star general — to do battle for us and to crush the serpent's head.

The 54-Day Election Novena will begin on Sept. 8, the Nativity of Our Lady, and will end on Nov. 1, All Saints Day, two days before the election.

Church Militant will livestream the daily novena Rosary, Monday–Friday, starting at 8 a.m. ET. The usual morning prayers will be said after the Rosary during the novena. Saturdays and Sundays are on the participants' honor.

Novena participants must pray the Rosary for 54 consecutive days and consider the particular set of mysteries indicated for that day (see calendar below).

The Mysteries of the Rosary will rotate in the order following the life of Jesus: Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful and Glorious.

How to Pray the Novena

The first 27 days of the novena are devoted to petitioning the Blessed Mother to guide and grace the U.S. elections, and the second 27 days are to give thanks to Our Lord and Lady, whatever the outcome.

Prayer of Petition

We offer this Rosary for the good of the Church and the nation — especially in this election, that the Woman of Genesis crushes the head of the serpent and drives out all evil from our nation and the Church; for the restoration of truth, virtue and order to our country; for the president, that God protect and strengthen him and that He do God's will faithfully.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

We offer this Rosary in thanksgiving to Our Lady for answering us as God wills, and for the many graces God has bestowed on our nation.

Apostles' Creed
