All full-time positions listed below require that the candidate work on location at our studios. Due to visa restrictions, we cannot accept international applicants. We are a non-profit and depend on donations and subscriptions to stay afloat; we will try to provide a salary commensurate with the position, with the understanding that we won't be able to offer the sort of pay a for-profit corporation can. Coordinator, Development & Special Events

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Serious work ethic
  • Disciplined and organized
  • Good working knowledge of current events in the Church and world
  • Ability to take direction and receive constructive feedback well
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Proficiency in computer & internet literacy and programs (Excel, Word, Publisher or similar)
  • Establishment of a personal "brand" advantageous

  
Development Dept. duties include:

  • Daily telephone calls and emails to potential donors
  • Tracking of donations and donor prospects (site metrics and active donor reports)
  • Working on various fundraising campaigns
  • Composing telephone scripts
  • Working with fundraising consultant; weekly Skype meeting
  • Scrubbing CRM list for donor history
  • Prepare and send periodic surveys and questionnaires
  • Help to grow Premium membership
  • Learn to navigate through Anedot (our online fundraising service)

 
Special Events Dept. duties include:

  • Train on the job to be a certified travel professional by taking online courses provided and paid for by the apostolate. Upon completion, you will book flights, lodging, car rental, etc. for in-house staff, as well as, and most importantly, for our annual fundraising cruise (Retreat at Sea)
  • Assist in coordination of our special events (annual Strength & Honor Men’s Conference, Resistance Conference, pilgrimages and other events)
  • Light telephone responsibilities as back up to manager

Video Producer, News

Requirements:

  • Minimum of four-year college degree (higher degree a bonus)
  • Experience in TV production a bonus, but not required

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Production/Post-Production

Church Militant is looking to hire a new member for our Production Team. Candidate must be fully committed to the Church Militant mission, have serious work ethic, be able to learn quickly, detail-oriented, thorough, punctual, reliable, organized, highly efficient and excellent at communication.

Experience with production equipment and in video editing software is required. Experience in the following programs is preferred:

  • Adobe Premiere
  • Adobe After Effects
  • Adobe Photoshop

Required skills and qualities:

  • Able to operate a pro-grade video camera
  • Comprehensive understanding of production and post-production processes
  • Familiar with production lighting and sound
  • Strong computer knowledge
  • Desire and ability to learn multiple software programs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Internal Site Web Developer, Technology 

We are looking for a skilled Web Developer who will be responsible for developing and/or designing internal websites for the apostolate.

A successful web developer candidate must be fully committed to the Church Militant mission, have serious work ethic, be able to learn quickly, detail-oriented, thorough, punctual, reliable, organized, highly efficient and excellent at communication. Preferably, the candidate will have knowledge in JavaScript, HTML, C#, ASP and CSS — experience in the SharePoint platform is preferable but not mandatory, with a willingness to learn.

Web Developer Responsibilities:

  • Website and software application designing, building or maintaining.
  • Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications and digital media.
  • Conferring with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria or choose solutions.
  • Directing or performing website updates.
  • Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
  • Editing, writing or designing website content and directing team members who produce content.
  • Maintaining an understanding of the latest web applications and programming practices through education, study and participation in conferences, workshops and groups.
  • Back up files from websites to local directories for recovery.
  • Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing and correcting or referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction.
  • Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured and is compatible with browsers, devices or operating systems.
  • Determining user needs by analyzing technical requirements.

Web Developer Requirements:

  • Relevant experience
