SPECIAL REPORT AT 4:30 PM ET
DETROIT (ChurchMilitant.com) - The culmination of the 54-day Rosary novena for America ended with millions of people around the world praying the Rosary.
On Sunday, over 1,300 locations across the United States were joined by 57 countries to reclaim the "surrendered ground of planet Earth back to God," a Holy League email said. Rallies were held in several dioceses and several groups live-streamed their prayer rallies on Facebook.
The national rally in Washington, D.C. started with Mass and processions before the afternoon nationwide Rosary to pray for the conversion and "a return of our nation to God and holiness."
The Holy League is part of the Holy League of Nations, an outgrowth of the Rosary Coast to Coast and an international alliance of Catholics looking to transform society, united with Our Lady, with prayer and fasting. It was through the organizational efforts of the Holy League of Nations that 57 other countries prayed with America.
In August, Church Militant spoke with Bree Dail, an international organizer for the Holy League of Nations, who said the roots of the movement sprung from Poland. To learn from other countries that had Rosary Coast to Coast events, Dail contacted Fr. Richard Heilman, the president of the Holy League, who put her in touch with leaders from the United Kingdom, Ireland and Scotland.
Dail noted during those conversations she was struck by how the Rosary Coast to Coast phenomenon was taking off all over the world.
"This is like the beginning of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart," she said.
The idea for the Holy League of Nations was born during those conversations and Dail recalled Fr. Heilman telling her, "This unity is the 'counter.' What's happening with the division in the Church — this is the counter. It's Our Lady."
Dail also linked the global Rosary movement to the messages of Fatima, Akita, Tre Fontane and La Salette.
"We're seeing all that playing out: bishops against bishops, cardinals against cardinals, doctrine being attacked, marriage being attacked, our eucharistic Lord being profaned," Dail said. "All these things were prophesied by Our Lady, and they are now coming true."
Dail said, "But at the same time, we have to understand that, through this, Our Lady is answering. The unveiling of all the filth — this is part of her plan, and we should be encouraged by that."
Father Heilman chronicled how that wave of filth seems to have started on the Feast of St. Faustina in 2017.
"Many of us ordinary Joes and Janes (Deplorables? Rigids?) have had their courage awakened with each new 'revealed' outrageous and evil assault against the will of God. In fact, since October of last year (Centennial year of Our Lady of Fatima), God's 'revealing light' has been shone on more and more evil that was able to move unabated for decades under the cover of darkness," Fr. Heilman said.
On Oct. 5, 2017, the Harvey Weinstein scandal broke. "This catapulted us into the #MeToo movement, and a tsunami wave of exposés would rapidly follow within every major institution, including the Church," he wrote.
With the Pennsylvania grand jury report being made public, the exposing of the filth inside the Catholic Church began — Fr. Heilman noted it was on the eve of the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, and the day before the start of the 54-day Rosary Novena for Our Nation.
A week later, on the Feast of the Queenship of Mary, Abp. Carlo Maria Vigano wrote his 11-page testimony exposing the cover-up of Theodore McCarrick's sexual predation and abuse by the Vatican.
"By the grace of God, and the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, evil sees its power diminishing and, as a result, we are seeing a gigantic temper tantrum from every force of evil," Fr. Heilman wrote.
During the final nine days of the Novena, that "temper tantrum" was witnessed in the attack against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Despite the screams of protest from pro-abortion Democrats, "in order to preserve their great sacrament of baby killing," said Fr. Heilman, the Senate voted to confirm Justice Kavanaugh.
Father Heilman noted the vote concluded at 3 p.m. CST — the hour of Divine Mercy, on a First Saturday and exactly 24 hours before the worldwide Rosary.
"This means that, for a generation to come, radical secular forces will not be able to abuse the Supreme Court to implement their evil anti-God agenda." This is the most conservative Supreme Court since 1934, long after the High Court began to strip religion from the public square.
Father Heilman noted the following countries joined America in praying the Rosary: Canada, Mexico, Columbia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Peru, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Panama, Ecuador, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, Poland, Romania, France, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Switzerland, Slovenia, Gibraltar, Lebanon, Syria, Holy Land, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Armenia, Georgia, India, Russia, Vietnam, Philippines, Japan, Australia, New Zeland, Papua New Guinea, Fidji, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia and Ghana.
With October being the month of the Holy Rosary, there are several opportunities for public Rosary events. On Oct. 13, America Needs Fatima has over 21,000 Rosary rally locations for its annual Rosary, and on Oct. 18, a children's Rosary is planned by Aid to the Church in Need to fulfill a promise made by St. Padre Pio who said, "When a million children pray the Rosary, then the world will change."
