The liberal media keeps mentioning the phrase "Church Militant" — it's showing up in The New York Times, Huffington Post, MSNBC and other outlets — but they're universally getting it wrong.

The Holy Catholic Church, the Universal Church, is divided into three supernatural missions:
The Church Militant
The Church Suffering
The Church TriumphantThe Church Suffering comprises the souls of the righteous suffering in Purgatory as they are purified for Heaven.
The Church Triumphant comprises the souls of the saints who have been glorified in Heaven.
The Church Militant comprises the souls on earth engaged in battle against the forces evil.We are the Church Militant.
The Church Militant (Ecclesia Militans) is the Christian militia. The Church Militant does battle against sin, the devil and the demonic "rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12).
