Images of aborted children are devastating to the abortion industry's deceptive narrative. Armed with this knowledge, one pro-life champion in Louisiana took it a step further, buying an actual abortuary and converting it into a memorial. Church Militant's William Mahoney recently toured that facility.

The National American Holocaust Memorial stands in the capital of the Pelican State.

Richard Mahoney: "People actually come here still, thinking it's an abortion clinic."

Richard Mahoney is the owner and operator of the memorial, which was once the Delta Women's Clinic, an abortuary where nearly 30,000 babies were butchered from 1986 to 1994. The building was then purchased and transformed into a memorial, education center and lifeline for pregnant mothers and the children they're carrying.

Visitors tour the rooms where abortionists once practiced their bloodstained craft.

Mahoney:

In this particular death camp, they didn't throw the babies in the dumpster. They ground them up in a garbage disposal. And you'll see the pipes with the dried blood. When we first got in here, the blood was just soaked through the floor there, and because of the gravity, it just flowed this way.

Almost 20 years later, the floor is permanently stained with the blood from abortions.

Resting on the countertops are instruments once used to dismember living human beings, everything from sopher clamps to curettes, the latter being the same instrument used to scrape away skin cancer. On the floor sits an aspiration machine that was used on children in the earlier weeks and months of development, as their developing tissue breaks apart easily under the vacuum's suction.

Outside, Mahoney shows some more features of the memorial.

Mahoney:

Many people have come to me — those who've had abortions, those who've come from Rachel retreats, Cana retreats, those who found with the murdered babies the names in the dumpsters at the death camps. All these people have asked, "How can we commemorate our baby? How can we remember our baby because we didn't bury our baby?" ... After we fill this up with 60 names, we're going to build a 60-foot-wide, 8-foot-tall wall, which should hold tens of thousands of names of innocent babies.

The former human slaughterhouse is located on Bennington Avenue, down the street from bars and a prominent strip club next to an EconoLodge hotel.

The memorial is dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, an obvious choice for a patroness, as the founder of Human Life International, Fr. Paul Marx, once wrote, "In this apparition alone does she appear to us as clearly the patroness of the unborn, in the manner of a pregnant mother."

Mahoney explained that, after a long and painful battle, God, through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, closed the doors to Delta Women's Clinic. He reopened them to show the world the horror of killing His children.
