LOS ANGELES ( - In the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, actor Corey Feldman is vowing to expose Hollywood's "other open secret" — pedophilia. For this, he's already paying a price.

On Wednesday, Feldman posted a message to YouTube, suggesting he's being targeted after he announced a campaign aimed at unmasking a high-powered Hollywood molestation ring.

"Ever since I discussed the fact that I have this plan," Feldman disclosed, "my life has turned to utter chaos."

"[J]ust over the past few days since I made that announcement, I've been arrested, I had a near-death experience last night where I felt like I was almost going to be killed. Two trucks came speeding at me at the same time on a crosswalk."

"Several of my band members," he added, "decided to quit because they're afraid for their lives."

Feldman rose to prominence as a child actor in the 1980s, starring in films like The Goonies, Stand by Me and The Lost Boys. For almost a quarter century, he has alleged that as boys, he and co-star Corey Haim, who passed away at age 38 from pneumonia, were sexually assaulted by Hollywood mogul pedophiles. His claims, by and large, were ignored.

Feldman blames his friend Haim's death on the lasting emotional and psychological trauma of being raped at a young age, turning to a life of drugs and alcohol, which his body could not sustain.

Actors like Elijah Wood have acknowledged the existence of Hollywood elite who prey on young male actors. James Van Der Beek has also weighed in, confirming the existence of a homosexual pedophilia in Hollywood.

"I've had my a** grabbed by older, powerful men, I've had them corner me in inappropriate sexual conversations when I was much younger," he tweeted on October 12. "I understand the unwarranted shame, powerlessness & inability to blow the whistle. There's a power dynamic that feels impossible to overcome."

The scope of Weinstein's alleged crimes has sensitized the public and sharpened focus on Hollywood sexual improprieties.

In response, Feldman is seeking to expose Hollywood's culture of child sexual abuse. He is vowing to take down the pedophile ring by creating and self-distributing the "most honest and true depiction of child abuse ever portrayed."

"I propose to do this by making a film … telling my own story in a very real way, in a very honest way, with no editing, no censorship, no studio behind it," he says.

I believe that I can also bring down, potentially, a pedophile ring that I have been aware of since I was a child. Right off the bat, I can name six names, one of them who is still very powerful today. And a story that links all the way up to a studio. It connects pedophilia to one of the major studios.

Feldman has launched an Indiegogo campaign to fund the project.

"I will make the film, I will direct the film, I will produce the film, and I will self-distribute it to guarantee it gets a theatrical release with your donations. Additionally, it will help me buy the security and the legal team I need to protect my family."

The campaign's Indiegogo page explains the project "is much bigger than raising finance for a film, this is about the balance of Good and Evil in very real terms."

It also notes that Feldman has already written down the details of his abuse, complete with names, and given them to a "trusted person of power," in case "anything should happen to him or any member of his family before the film is finished."
