The head of the Department of Justice is ripping Antifa terrorists.
When asked by commenter Mark Levin about the group over the weekend, Attorney General William Barr outlined who these groups are: "Well, I think they would be generally for bringing down any administration. They are a revolutionary group that is interested in some form of socialism/communism — they're essentially Bolsheviks."
Bolsheviks were revolutionaries that overthrew Tsar Nicholas II of Russia in one of the bloodiest civil wars in human history — with around 12 million casualties.
The group was led by Vladimir Lenin, who apostatized from Christianity, later founding the Soviet Union and administering mass executions during the notorious Red Terror.
During the war, Bolsheviks carried out identical tactics to Antifa, like abolishing the police in Russia, the use of propaganda to spread lies about Russia's history, and inciting unrest in the streets.
Barr also outlined that Marxist groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter despise President Trump and his administration.
Barr: "They were trying to impeach him from Day One. They have done everything they can — they have shredded the norms of our system to do what they can to drive him from office."
He argues they aren't for debating or protesting injustice, but fostering a war they intend to win.
Barr: "It's a secular religion. It's a substitute for religion. They view their political opponents as evil because we stand in the way of their progressive utopia that they're trying to reach."
Given the violence these groups displayed in Portland, Chicago, Seattle and various other cities across the United States, the attorney general's words resonate with the faithful who fear Bolshevism is coming to America.
Vladimir Lenin: "Soviet power must necessarily, inevitably, and in the not distant future, triumph over all the world."
