NEW YORK (ChurchMilitant.com) - Steve Bannon will be found innocent of fraud, according to the president of the so-called gladiator school of which Bannon is chairman.

Benjamin Harnwell, founder and president of the Dignitatis Humanae Institute (DHI) told Church Militant this week that he's certain Bannon's name will eventually be cleared but notes the goal is to sideline him now.
"How much time, money and effort will he now have to dedicate — like me — in order to clear his name? Energy that cannot in the meantime be dedicated to fighting the systemic, corrupt injustices of the global elites," remarked Harnwell.
He emphasized the goal is to disrupt Bannon's current influence and also to "destroy his credibility."
Harnwell was referring to charges brought against Bannon in Manhattan federal court late last week. The charges allege that Bannon misused donations from an online fundraising campaign earmarked for the building of the border wall with Mexico. Bannon had been arrested earlier that day by inspectors of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. He pleaded not guilty to charges of fraud and was freed on a $5 million bond.
Lou Dobbs, host of Fox News' Lou Dobbs Tonight, on his show Thursday evening blamed the "deep state" for Bannon's arrest.
"Somehow, the deep state launched agents of the U.S. Postal Service to arrest Mr. Bannon," posited Dobbs.
Bannon has taken exception to calling the so-called swamp of bureaucrats battling Trump a "deep state" as if it were hidden. There is nothing deep or hidden about it, mused Bannon in October 2019, "It's right in your face."
Trump's former chief strategist and senior counselor, during his podcast on Friday, dismissed the case, saying "this is a total political hit job" that was strategically launched just prior to the most important election in U.S. history.
"The timing is exquisite. What is it, 72 [days to the election] and a wake-up [on Election Day] to what Donald Trump says is the most important election? I don't like using that phrase but I think he's right," Bannon observed.
The Catholic and former naval officer left his executive position with Breitbart News in 2016 to conduct a successful presidential campaign as chief executive officer of Trump's campaign. Even after leaving his role in Washington, Bannon remains a loyal Trump supporter.
In February 2019, Church Militant reported on Bannon's role in launching DHI, a "think tank" and an Italian-based training school for those who wish to battle globalists in the fight for Western civilization. Harnwell says DHI's goal is to stand up for the sacred dignity of every human person, which is constantly under attack.
"Subverting this basic truth is how the great totalitarian ideologies of the 20th century — international socialism and National Socialism [Nazism] — wrought their evil ... Work done to promote human dignity is essential to the very survival of civilization itself," explains Harnwell.
He believes the Institute's work, which deeply involves Bannon, attracts dark forces.
"The forces of darkness — against whom Steve Bannon has been the most effective, uncompromising and valiant champion on the world stage — will stop at nothing to destroy anyone who dares to stand up to them," Harnwell said Monday.
He admitted the recent attacks on Bannon come as no surprise.
"The surprise isn't that Steve has been arrested today on spurious fraud charges. The surprise is that it took them so long to strike," Harnwell revealed.
He declared he has 100% "metaphysical certainty" that Bannon will eventually be found innocent. But with the next presidential election just two months out, the acquittal may be a moot point.
"And by the time Steve does clear his name, who will still care? The object is to eliminate him from the debate. Character assassination to destroy his credibility," advanced Harnwell.
In 2017, Bannon's role as Trump's senior counselor was assumed by fellow Catholic Kellyanne Conway. Conway was also Trump's campaign manager in his successful 2016 presidential bid. On Sunday, Conway announced she was leaving Washington to focus on family issues.
