The Boy Scouts are demanding condoms at every Jamboree, according to guidelines now enforced by the World Scout Committee.

The World Organization of Scout Movement, which oversees international scout gatherings called Jamborees, drafted directives containing the following mandate: "The Host Organization must ensure that condoms are readily and easily accessible for all participants and IST [Staff] at a number of locations on the site."

The Boy Scouts, who promise to do their duty to "God" and "country," and to keep themselves "morally straight," have opened their ranks not only to girls but also to gay and transgender scouts. Gay Scout leaders have been allowed since 2015.

But now the once traditional group is being criticized for promoting fornication. John Stemberger, president of the Florida Family Policy Council, called out the Boy Scouts of America for their part in condoning the distribution of condoms.

"[T]he BSA is both anticipating and facilitating sexual conduct between minors at this event," said Stemberger. "These policies are both outrageous and completely irresponsible."

Females will make up half of the participants at next year's gathering as the Boy Scouts this year began allowing females to join its ranks. Canadian Boy Scouts, who will also be attending, have been co-ed since 1992.
