James Fortenberry is coming forward to reveal what he calls "pressure" and "manipulation" by the archdiocese of Detroit to give incriminating statements against Fr. Eduard Perrone, placed on leave after a 40-year-old allegation of abuse based on a "repressed memory."
Fortenberry is friends with the accuser, and claims he never witnessed abuse or inappropriate behavior during any of the time he spent with the accuser, Fr. Perrone or any altar boys who served with him.
In an exclusive interview, Fortenberry reveals evidence of what appears to be targeting and pressure by the Detroit archdiocese to incriminate their own priest.
