According to its name, a Catholic school should strive to teach the authentic Faith and show loyalty to the Magisterium. But many Catholic schools today are failing to meet that standard.
Church Militant's Aidan O'Connor takes a closer look at Catholic schools choosing woke culture over Church teaching.
Catholic colleges across America are succumbing to woke ideology — forfeiting their faith for counterfeit social justice.
Many Catholics, however, are fighting the festering wokeness of their alma maters.
Last month, alumni and donors of the University of San Deigo sponsored a report exposing the woke takeover of their so-called Catholic school.
The report details how critical social justice — another name for Marxist critical race theory — has infiltrated the school's student body, faculty, staff and even the board of trustees.
Last year, the university approved "Horizon Project," a "multiyear, comprehensive and strategic initiative for diversity, equity and inclusion."
This California Catholic school is not alone; the University of Notre Dame is also embracing full woke ideology.
Notre Dame has removed murals of Catholic explorer Christopher Columbus, hosted an event for "confronting Whiteness" and also established a diversity, equity and inclusion task force.
Earlier this year, donors citing woke indoctrination sued Florida's Academy of the Holy Names after donating over $1 million to the Catholic school.
College of the Holy Cross, Loyola University Maryland, Marquette University and St. Norbert College are just a few more so-called Catholic schools that have chosen woke culture over the Catholic faith.
Critics who note the University of San Diego has recorded zero hate crimes in previous years are blasting the school for reporting unsubstantiated acts of intolerance and hate.
