The University of San Francisco (USF) is funding contraception and sterilization through its student health insurance plan.
A new report from The College Fix highlights how the Jesuit university's health coverage includes: "female contraceptive counseling," contraceptive "drugs and devices" and "female voluntary sterilization."
The plan pays 80% of the cost for "voluntary sterilization for males" and abortion. Also covered are some forms of transgender surgery and hormone treatment.
In December 2008, the Cardinal Newman Society showed that USF included abortion coverage in a new health insurance policy.
In 2014, California's Department of Managed Health Care ordered two other Catholic institutions — Loyola Marymount University and Santa Clara University — to fund abortion through employees' health insurance.
This report about USF folds into a larger problem of Christian colleges being in step with the Culture of Death.
Earlier this year, Students for Life of America found dozens of faith-based schools, several of them Catholic, with ties to Planned Parenthood. A few universities cut ties with the abortion giant after pro-lifers contacted them.
It's worth noting USF — like many Catholic universities — is requiring all students and employees to get vaccinated for COVID-19 before the fall semester. Forcing abortion-tainted vaccines comes as no surprise since USF already pays for abortion and transgender mutilation.
