The Biden administration's tolerance of Chinese human-rights violations offers a disquieting reminder of how far the West and the Church have strayed from the concept of justice.
The Book of Revelation speaks of cafeteria Catholics like Joe Biden — types who see fit to deny the genocide of Uighur Muslims in communist China (arguably to keep his international corporate donors happy). Biden's fat-cat friends (such as Apple) rely on China's slave labor and consumer base to line their pockets. Faith be damned if it means "giving up the gravy"!
Our Lord doesn't welcome people like this into the kingdom of Heaven. The teachings of the Catholic Church are not mere suggestions. They're infallible and universal moral truths. This is why Revelation 3:16 says, "So because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am about to spit you out of my mouth."
Revelation also speaks against cowards like the bishops who let Biden waltz into the White House despite his ardent support for gay marriage and hardline pro-abortion stance. Their inaction, either out of fear or capitulation, is one of the worst crimes one can commit. In Revelation 21:8, the cowardly are listed first — above murderers, sexual deviants, idolaters, witches and liars. There is a reason for this.
And who better to explain it than Patristic doctor of the Church St. Basil the Great? He wrote, "I know many who fast, pray, sigh and demonstrate every manner of piety so long as it costs them nothing, yet [who] would not part with a penny to help those in distress."
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops receives up to 40% of its budget from the federal government for migrant and refugee services. Gee whiz — I wonder why they're so apprehensive about calling out the anti-border wall and pro-abortion Biden!
Don't wonder about the obvious: They wanted Biden in office despite his clear anti-Catholic beliefs. The bishops just saved their skin by slapping him on the wrist with a letter after he was elected. Good job, guys: another million babies in the grave this year.
Saint Basil called out today's Church-of-Nice establishment long before cowards like Los Angeles auxiliary bishop Robert Barron and Detroit archbishop Allen Vigneron were even born. A bishop can parade around his knowledge and piety all he likes, but when the enemy is waging a spiritual and cultural war against the Catholic Church, then it's time to step up and remind people of the fire and brimstone awaiting them in the pits of Hell.
God is only merciful insofar as it is just to show mercy. Our Lord does not abide willful heretics, child murderers or (especially) cowards. Catholics cannot back down from fighting the battle against evil — a battle required of them by Jesus Christ — lest they be buried in an eternal and fiery grave.
