DETROIT (ChurchMilitant.com) - A whistleblower has come out with secret recordings that expose CNN's bias against President Donald Trump.
Project Veritas has released part one of a series exposing the bias at CNN.
Cary Poarch is a satellite uplink contractor who worked at CNN's Washington, D.C. bureau. He gave Project Veritas hours of undercover video and audio exposing the pervasive anti-Trump bias at the network.
He told Project Veritas in an on-camera interview, "I noticed ... that there was a strong groupthink that permeated through the halls, and that everyone was on board the, you know, 'I hate Trump' train."
The whistleblower recorded the daily 9 a.m. rundown meeting calls with CNN executives and staffers around the country. The recordings presented by Project Veritas feature CNN President Jeff Zucker insisting on an anti-Trump narrative.
In one of the secret recordings, Zucker is heard accusing Fox News of spreading "fake news conspiracy nonsense."
He also said, "I know that there's a lot of people at CNN that are friendly with Lindsey Graham. Time to knock that off, and it's time to call him out. And, you know, I think he's under full-time contract now with Fox News."
Poarch found it ironic that Zucker bashed Fox News, saying, "He was calling Fox News fake news and a propaganda machine. And with what I saw, that's pretty much what CNN was. Like, it's just pumping out propaganda."
At another point in the video, Poarch said, "CNN purports to be 'facts first,' and that's clearly not the case."
In response to Project Veritas' latest video, a CNN spokesperson pointed out that none of the individuals on camera are journalists, strictly speaking, for CNN.
Poarch's undercover footage showed CNN employees talking, over food and drink, about the company's left-wing, anti-Trump bias.
For instance, Media Coordinator Christian Sierra opined, "Impeachment stuff, there's new developments every day, more shoes drop. And it's like, there's just nothing we can do if Zucker wants impeachment every single day to be the top story."
Another media coordinator, Nick Neville, said, "Like, there's a lot of people out here who are just trying to, like, just do what they think is best of journalistic integrity. And then you get on the 9 a.m. call and 'big boss' Jeff Zucker f***ing tells you what to do."
"To a certain extent you have to follow his verdict," he added.
Neville said of Zucker, "He's had an ongoing feud with Trump since The Apprentice."
Zucker was named president of NBC Entertainment in 2000. In 2004, a Bloomberg article credited Zucker with "signing Donald Trump for the reality show The Apprentice."
Several CNN staffers said in the undercover video blamed Trump's success in the 2016 election on the media's constant coverage of his campaign.
The whistleblower got footage of Floor Director Hiram Gonzalez saying about the current U.S. president, "We created this monster and now we're eating him full-plate every single day. Media created the Trump monster."
Likewise, Neville opined that CNN "created his candidacy, made him legitimate," all for the sake of "ratings."
A brief clip shared by Project Veritas shows Sierra complaining that a "white kid" getting shot in an affluent neighborhood gets more coverage than shootings in urban areas. In a related clip, Sierra emphasized, "I think that shootings in poorer areas, or, um, minority communities, don't get as much coverage as if they were to happen in a white area."
James O'Keefe, founder of Project Veritas, spoke to Church Militant on Mic'd Up in June this year.
He told Michael Voris, "Our country was founded on the people having information, and having an informed consent. America exists with the consent of the governed."
"But that consent has been manufactured," O'Keefe opined, "by a propaganda mass media, whose interest is not truth, but in producing a synthetic commodity that will earn ratings or elect certain people."
O'Keefe said of his organization, Project Veritas, "We're one of the only undercover news organizations in the world. We're the only type in the United States. And we've done some 200 investigations over the last 10 years."
In September 2018, Project Veritas put out a video exposing a State Department employee for working on emails for the Democratic Socialists of America during work hours.
The organization released a video in October 2018 about a Democrat senator casting herself as more moderate than she actually is for a re-election campaign.
Project Veritas released a report in June this year on undercover footage of a Google executive speaking about big tech's role in "preventing the next Trump situation."
Google leaker Zachary Vorhies identified himself publicly in a Project Veritas video in August.
