DETROIT ( - Twitter is silencing conservatives caught tweeting truthful facts.

The social media giant is getting backlash over its scrutiny of conservatives posting "hate facts," statements that are true but are "politically incorrect" from a leftist, progressive viewpoint.

This has hit high-profile conservative users like Islam critic Tommy Robinson, whose account was permanently banned following his post citing statistics revealing that Muslims make up a majority of suspects in child grooming cases in the United Kingdom.

His tweet stated a fact from a Quilliam Foundation report that "90 percent of grooming gang convictions are Muslims." Robinson said Sunday he is taking Twitter to court to not only restore his account but also to show that "'facts' are now seen as 'hate,' and the government is pushing its agenda with private companies."
Other well-known users banned in the past include British commentator and writer Milo Yiannopoulos, comedian Steven Crowder, former Presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan's advisor Roger Stone and YouTuber Carl Benjamin.
In January, the social media empire had an engineer caught on camera admitting to censoring content that tweeted about "guns, God, '[A]Merica and with the American flag and the Cross."
He also admitted to deleting accounts through written algorithms "against conservatives." Other employees said they engaged in "shadow banning" President Donald Trump supporters and conservatives. Shadow banning is removing a user from a platform without their knowledge, preventing other users from seeing or interacting with them.
A recent report from the Media Research Center (MRC) revealed how Twitter has suppressed Ring-wing voices while shielding those of the Left. Its employees donated 30 times more to Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign than to Trump's.

Last year, pro-life organization Live Action blasted the social media giant for censoring the group's advertisement ad owing to "sensitive content" on its website.

The questionable tweets concerned those "calling for the end of taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood, all of our tweets of our undercover investigations into Planned Parenthood and any ultrasound images of preborn children."

Lila Rose, president and founder of Live Action, told The Washington Post, "This wasn't about one issue with one aspect with one ad. This was about the entirety of our message, from ultrasound images of life in the womb to criticism of abortion facilities."

As of press time, Live Action remains unable to advertise on Twitter. However, Twitter backtracked after censoring a pro-life campaign video for U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) for an alleged "inflammatory statement that is likely to evoke a strong negative reaction."

The video stated Blackburn is running for the Senate seat of Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), who is retiring and "fought Planned Parenthood, and we stopped the sale of baby body parts, thank God." She served as chairman of the House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives, which investigated claims Planned Parenthood is harvesting organs and tissues from aborted babies for profit.
