A pro-lifer is continuing his legal battle after a court ordered him to pay millions for exposing Planned Parenthood.
Recently, a judge in San Francisco ordered David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress to pay $1.5 million to the abortion giant, owing to a series of undercover videos released in 2015 exposing the sales of aborted baby-body parts.
But attorneys representing Daleiden on the case — from the Thomas More Society — are now looking to challenge the ruling.
They have also filed an appeal against 10 criminal charges facing Daleiden — charges which could land him behind bars for years.
Daleiden's case is of interest not only for the pro-life movement, but also for investigative journalism.
Attorney Peter Breen of the Thomas More Society told One News Now on May 5: "The legal theories that Planned Parenthood employed in the case against David Daleiden could be used by any entity or politician or person against an undercover journalist who was exposing wrongdoing, whether it be corrupt politicians, whether it is those who are abusing animals — anything."
Daleiden and team have been fighting Planned Parenthood in court for years already, and it is unclear how much longer the fight will go on.
