A national pro-life call is underway to stop Biden's radically pro-abortion choice for the Department of Health and Human Services, or HHS.

Kristan Hawkins of Students for Life, Marjorie Dannenfelser of Susan B. Anthony List, along with U.S. senators Steve Daines of Montana and Tom Cotton of Arkansas joined forces in a webinar Wednesday evening calling for the Senate to vote "no" on confirming Xavier Becerra, whose hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.

Becerra is a self-identified Catholic and an aggressively pro-abortion career politician, having worked as a U.S. congressman for 24 years and one term in the California legislature.

Kristan Hawkins: "Xavier Becerra has a decades-old track record of siding with the abortion lobby whenever possible — and using that power of whatever office he is in to try and force others to share his enthusiastic support of abortion up until the moment of birth."

Becerra is currently California's attorney general, having succeeded Kamala Harris in 2017.

Senator Tom Cotton, R-Ark.: "The common thread of Xavier Becerra's tenure as the attorney general of California is that he abuses the law to target his enemies."

One of his early acts as attorney general was to arrest David Daleiden and slap him with 15 felony charges for exposing Planned Parenthood's illegal body-parts business.

And the nation's largest abortion chain is tickled pink at Becerra's nomination for HHS: "Mr. Becerra has been a decades-long champion for health care for all, including sexual and reproductive health care access."

Marjorie Dannenfelser: "He's kind of that guy that's quiet in the room but raises his hand every single time a really important pro-abortion measure needs to be spearheaded — he's the guy that says, 'I'll do it.'"

Becerra sued the Little Sisters of the Poor and argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals that the religious sisters should be forced to provide birth control, including abortion pills, under Obamacare.

Senator Steve Daines, R-Mont.: "Xavier Becerra has not had any experience in administering health care. His career has been in attacking: attacking pro-life leaders, pro-life nuns, pro-life clinics — the pregnancy clinics, the crisis pregnancy centers — with radical, radical efforts."

Before the presidential election, Becerra was on the list of national co-chairs of a campaign calling itself "Catholics for Biden," along with other self-identifying Catholic Democrats like Donna Brazile and Hilary Clinton's 2016 running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine.

One priest told Church Militant Becerra as head of Health and Human Services is dripping with dark irony.

Health is about preserving life, not destroying it, and butchering children in the womb is anything but a human service.
