Democrats are set on undermining the Supreme Court's recent decision overturning Roe v. Wade. This week, Congress is expected to vote on two separate bills aimed at codifying so-called abortion rights into law. In tonight's In-Depth Report, Church Militant's Kim Tisor unpacks these two bills and how their potential passage could impact America.

President Joe Biden: "The fastest way to restore Roe is to pass a national law codifying Roe, which I will sign immediately upon its passage."

Democratic politicians have masterminded ways to fuel the sputtering abortion machine, ever since the Supreme Court ruled to overturn Roe.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Speaker of the U.S. House: "This is deadly serious. But we are not going to let this pass. ... Democrats will keep fighting ferociously to enshrine Roe v. Wade into law."

One way they hope to resurrect Roe's provisions is with the passage of pro-abort bills. One, the Women's Health Protection Act, abolishes nearly all pro-life safeguards. 

The radical legislation allows for sex-selective abortions, abortions on babies over 20 weeks of age and underage abortions without parental consent. The Women's Health Protection Act also strikes down laws requiring telemedicine abortions to include an in-person medical examination, individuals who perform abortions to be licensed and pregnant mothers to receive information about their babies' development. Lastly, the broad bill removes a pro-life medical professional's right to conscientiously object.

Dr. William Lile, OB/GYN: "Abortion is taking a life. The preborn are patients. We don't just diagnose them as patients in the womb; we actually treat them as patients in the womb."

Another bill would make it illegal to interfere with a woman's crossing state lines to obtain an abortion. The "Ensuring Access to Abortion Act of 2022" also prohibits a state from preventing the shipment of FDA-approved abortion drugs across state lines.

Pelosi: "I come to this as a Catholic mother of five in six years and one week." 

Claiming she's driven by her Faith, Nancy Pelosi championed the Women's Health Protection Act and will continue to push for pro-abort legislation until every woman in America is free to murder her preborn baby.

Rep. Jackie Walorski, R-Ind., State District 2: "I expect more poison from Nancy Pelosi. She's been the queen of poison on this issue since I have been in the Congress. She's going to be out there doing as much toxic damage as she can do to the issue of life that she can while she still has the gavel." 

Pelosi and other pro-death Dems are leaving no stone unturned in their search for ways to keep abortion thriving. What they don't realize is the stones they're dealing with are akin to mill stones, that lead to spiritual death.

Democrats are urging unelected president Joe Biden to declare the overturning of Roe a "public health emergency." The White House initially claimed declaring a public health emergency wasn't a great option because it wouldn't release enough legal authority to accomplish much. Biden has since walked back those comments and is considering the move.
