As a whole, the news and media industry today isn't too different from the Marxist-inspired propaganda of the early 20th century.

Propaganda is information delivered with the goal of persuading, however, the information employed may frequently make use of lies as a means to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.

Put simply, propaganda is lying to the public in order to push an agenda.

In this week's Mic’d Up, Michael Voris interviews Austin Ruse, author of The Catholic Case for Trump.

While the effective and evil tool of propaganda was deployed by the Bolsheviks and the Nazis, the roots of this mass manipulation go back even further.

For the majority of history, information, for the most part, wasn't easily accessible or easily transferable. Around the year 1440, Johannes Gutenberg's printing press changed all of that. It didn't take long before that good invention got abused.

Around 75 years later, in 1517, Martin Luther, a German monk and priest who broke away from the Catholic Church, nailed his 95 Theses to the castle church in Wittenberg, which was then printed and distributed far and wide.

Luther went on to make up his own Bible, as he edited out seven books of the Old Testament; this reduced the total number of books from 73 to 66.

Luther's German translation of his own incomplete Bible sold 5,000 copies in just two weeks, and today, Luther's 66-book Bible is the foundation for all Protestant bibles.

From the Protestant Revolt came the Age of the Enlightenment, and from there, Marxism found its way into the world.

This abuse of the printing press served as a precursor to the mass amounts of false information that were about to be poured into the world.

From the Protestant Revolt came the Age of the Enlightenment, and from there, Marxism found its way into the world.

Today, most news and media claim to be fair, objective and unbiased as they demonstrate the complete opposite day in and day out.

CNN, the first 24-hour cable news channel, is a prime example of this, as its mission statement states: "Our aim is not to address a certain point of view but to deliver comprehensive journalism."

Yet last October, Project Veritas, a nonprofit journalism enterprise, exposed CNN's hypocrisy.

With news, real and fake, accessible at everybody's fingertips nowadays, propaganda and fake news aren't hard to come by.
