Freedom of Information groups and computer hackers have released emails from influential left-wing U.S. financial and political figures that expose a conspiracy against the Catholic Church. Groups involved in the release of emails include WikiLeaks and the lesser-known group D.C. Leaks. WikiLeaks describes itself as a "non-profit organization funded by human rights campaigners, investigative journalists, technologists and the general public." It was founded by Julian Assange in 2006 to analyze and publish censored or restricted documents involving war, spying and corruption.

Emails from billionaire financier George Soros and senior figures in Hillary Clinton's presidential election team released by D.C. Leaks and WikiLeaks reveal a conspiracy to overthrow the authority of the Magisterium and to change the doctrines of the Church. Emails exchanged by Hillary Clinton's inner team also show the plot against the Church is driven by antipathy towards the Faith and prejudice against faithful Catholics and converts.

Archbishop Chaput Calls Out the Conspirators

Archbishop Charles Chaput of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has acknowledged in his online column posted at Catholic Philly that leftwing U.S. politicians are plotting against the Catholic Church. He quotes from a prominent non-Catholic lawyer who declared that the emails were "some of the worst bigotry by a political machine I have seen. ... [T]he Church has an absolute right to protect itself when under attack as a faith and Church by civil political forces. This certainly applies here." The lawyer went on to write to Abp. Chaput:

Over the last eight years there has been strong evidence that the current administration, with which these people share values, has been very hostile to religious organizations. Now there is clear proof that this approach is deliberate and will accelerate if these actors have any continuing, let alone louder, say in government. These bigots are actively strategizing how to shape Catholicism not to be Catholic or consistent with Jesus' teachings, but to be the "religion" they want. They are, at the very core, trying to turn religion to their secular view of right and wrong consistent with their politics. We have political actors trying to orchestrate a coup to destroy Catholic values, and they even analogize their takeover to a coup in the Middle East, which amplifies their bigotry and hatred of the Church.

Archbishop Chaput called on Hillary Clinton to repudiate the anti-Catholic emails of her staff. She has not as yet done so.

Evidence of the Conspiracy

The first evidence of a conspiracy against the Catholic Church was uncovered in emails released in August 2016 from George Soros' Open Society Foundation that shows he paid $650,000 to influence U.S. bishops during Pope Francis' U.S. visit in 2015. The leftwing billionaire gave his money to two groups, PICO Network and Faith in Public Life, to shift "the priorities of the U.S. Catholic Church to focus on issues of injustice and oppression." Simply put, this meant shifting the priorities of the Church so that abortion and marriage no longer held absolute primacy in judging the moral positions of candidates for the 2016 presidential election. Two months after Pope Francis' U.S. visit, a number of bishops argued for shifting the Bishops' Conference focus from abortion and LGBT ideology, to poverty and climate change.

Furthermore, George Soros has donated millions to the industrial-scale abortion provider Planned Parenthood and pro-abortion groups in Ireland campaigning to repeal constitutional protection of pre-born babies. A secret document from George Soros' Open Society Foundation, released by D.C. Leaks, reveals his plot to use any future change in Ireland's abortion law to precipitate a liberalisation of abortion laws in other Catholic countries:

With one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the world, a win there could impact other strongly Catholic countries in Europe, such as Poland, and provide much needed proof that change is possible, even in highly conservative places.

The next batch of emails that exposed this conspiracy were posted online in October 2016. Wikileaks released emails exchanged between "Catholic" John Podesta, campaign chief for Hillary Clinton, and Sandy Newman, founder and president of Voices for Progress, an activist group promoting liberal causes. The email exchange was conducted under the theme "Opening for a Catholic Spring? just musing…" referring to the series of rebellions and coups in the Middle East known as the "Arab Spring." During the exchange, Sandy Newman wrote of his hopes to take over the Church in the United States:

This whole controversy with the bishops opposing contraceptive coverage even though 98% of Catholic women (and their conjugal partners) have used contraception has me thinking ... There needs to be a Catholic Spring, in which Catholics themselves demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship and the beginning of a little democracy and respect for gender equality in the Catholic church. Is contraceptive coverage an issue around which that could happen. The Bishops will undoubtedly continue the fight. Does the Catholic Hospital Association support of the Administration's new policy, together with "the 98%" create an opportunity?

Even more disturbing is John Podesta's reference to practical steps he's taken in his plot to take over the Church and subvert Her teaching to his liberal agenda:

We created Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good to organize for a moment like this. But I think it lacks the leadership to do so now. Likewise Catholics United. Like most Spring movements, I think this one will have to be bottom up.

Catholic News Agency reported a leaked memo from George Soros' Open Society Foundation that reveals he funded Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good to the tune of $450,000 between 2006–2010. This indicates a link between George Soros' plot against the Catholic Church and Hillary Clinton's campaign chief's plot to foment rebellion against the authority of the Magisterium. The 2009 Open Society Foundation memo celebrates what they see as a successful investment in Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good [CACG]:

CACG has helped to transform Catholic values in the mainstream media and in the public discourse on religion and politics, thereby thwarting previously successful attempts by the conservative movement to use religious faith for partisan advantage.

When George Soros' pro-abortion, pro-same-sex marriage group refers to "the conservative movement" within the Catholic Church, they are referring to clergy and laity upholding the doctrines of the Church on abortion, sexuality and marriage. Denying the absolute moral truths of faith, they reduce everything to politics.

George Soros' goal in funding leftwing Catholic groups is to gradually soften the Church's absolute condemnation of, and opposition to, killing pre-born babies through abortion. Wherever you see a Catholic group emphasizing reducing the number of abortions instead of promoting absolute opposition to murdering babies in the womb, you see the influence of the conspiracy.

Hatred of the Catholic faith

Another email released by WikiLeaks reveals sneering and mockery among Hillary Clinton's team towards what they dismiss as "Conservative Catholicism," but what are in fact the doctrines of the Church. "Catholic" John Halpin, Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress (an activist group promoting liberal causes), wrote the following tirade in an email to "Catholic" John Podesta:

Ken Auletta's latest piece on Murdoch in the New Yorker starts off with the aside that both Murdoch and Robert Thompson, managing editor of the WSJ, are raising their kids Catholic. Fr****n' Murdoch baptized his kids in Jordan where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Many of the most powerful elements of the conservative movement are all Catholic (many converts) from the SC and think tanks to the media and social groups. It's an amazing bastardization of the faith. They must be attracted to the systematic thought and severely backwards gender relations and must be totally unaware of Christian democracy.

Wherever you find conspiracies against the Church you'll find rejection and hatred of the Church as she truly is in herself.

In the second part, we will examine the history of conspiracy against the Church, the Church's magisterial and canonical fight back against Her enemies, and how we, too, must fight against the Soros/Podesta conspiracy.
