NEW YORK (ChurchMilitant.com) - To work at Fox News' headquarters in New York City, employees are required to have at least one COVID shot by Dec. 27, according to a leaked internal memo.

The new policy is allegedly being implemented as part of the company's efforts to remain in compliance with New York City's vaccination law, which mandates that all on-site employees at all businesses be vaccinated, according to Monday's report by The New York Times. Employees have no option of choosing to be tested regularly in place of the vaccine.

The internal memo attempts to blame New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio for the new mandate: "This mandate by the mayor prohibits unvaccinated employees from working at Fox New York offices as of 12/27."

The mandate reads, "All workers in NYC who perform in-person work at an office location, including Fox employees, must show proof of receiving at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine."

It adds, "The timing and ramifications of this mandate are very unfortunate, but we must take timely actions to be compliant by 12/27."

In a June memo, the company encouraged all employees to log their vaccination status into an intercompany system. Then, in August, a memo was sent out which "asked all employees — whether on-site as part of our essential workforce or working remotely — to upload their vaccination status" to the company's dedicated database.

According to a Fox News media announcement, also in August, employees at the company's headquarters would be required to be tested for COVID-19 weekly, regardless of their vaccination status.

A month later, Kevin Lord, the senior vice president of human resources, released a memo celebrating that 90% of full-time employees were vaccinated.

Lord mused, "We are pleased to share that more than 90% of our full-time employees reported that they are fully vaccinated. This is important information for our company to know as we continue to implement our phased return to office timing and procedures."

While the workplace and employees of Fox News seem to quietly comply with any and all COVID restrictions or mandates, the media outlet, as a whole, continues to promote vaccine and COVID skepticism in its content.

Social media users attacked Fox News employees on social platforms. One Twitter user accused Fox News host Tomi Lahren of being spineless.

Lahren tweeted, "Unvaxxed should be ashamed for not taking 3 shots we don't want all to appease the dictator wannabes that program Biden's teleprompter and open his basement cage every few days so he can prove he is still alive by fumbling or yelling through a prepared transcript? PASS!"

The user responded, "How do you reconcile spreading an anti-vax message while being vaccinated?! It's well-known @FoxNews employees have to be vaccinated to work on-site."

Another Twitter user summed it up saying, "There is no such thing as a vax or mask mandate. Anyone complying with this tyrannical behavior is complicit in the destruction being put upon the citizens of the world. There is no constitutional, lawful, or humanity basis."
