A multi-million-dollar lawsuit is accusing the head of the Pontifical North American College in Rome of covering up homosexual predation. In tonight's In-Depth Report, Church Militant's Christine Niles digs into some of the more explosive allegations.

Thomas Muñoz: "And he went like that, to the party. I said, to the party? We just finished the party. I didn't know about a party here."

Shocking details about an alleged orgy involving Fr. Peter Harman, rector of the Pontifical North American College in Rome (known as the NAC) and then-Bishop George Lucas, head of the Springfield, Illinois diocese in the 2000s.

Whistleblower Thomas Muñoz, former coordinator for Hispanic ministry in Springfield, exposed the sordid affair back in a 2004 interview.

Thomas Muñoz: "Father Harman got his penis out, and the bishop got his hand on it."

Muñoz goes on to detail graphic sex acts, including sodomy, he reportedly witnessed between Lucas and Harman.  When Muñoz later threatened to blow the whistle, he received a veiled death threat from the bishop.

Thomas Muñoz: "And he says, if you do, I hate to hear that you got hit by some drunken driver on your way to I-55."

Lucas made a similar threat in 2005 to whistleblower Stephen Brady.

Stephen Brady: "And then he went on to say, you know what you do is dangerous. And my attorney said, take that as a threat."

Brady, who conducted the 2004 New Year's Eve video of Muñoz, sent copies to the Vatican, the papal nuncio and the diocese. Lucas launched an investigation, which resulted in exonerating the bishop, while discrediting Muñoz.

Critics say the investigation, however, was biased and incomplete, and the polygraph administered to Muñoz failed to ask pertinent questions.

While the orgy allegations faded from memory in 2005, they were recently resurrected in a multi-million-dollar lawsuit filed against Harman by a former seminarian accusing him of cover-up.

Anthony Gorgia: "The motive that impelled the retaliation against the informants surrounding the investigation was the very same motive of Harman in his actions against me."

Anthony Gorgia alleges Harman retaliated against him after he witnessed gay predation at the NAC, ousting Gorgia from seminary.

Among those accused of helping Harman? New York's Cdl. Timothy Dolan, also being sued. While Dolan and Harman have denied the allegations, the pattern of retaliation in Springfield and now in Rome is too striking to dismiss.

Church Militant contacted Fr. Harman for comment but has received no response.
