Since the so-called vaccine has not yet been approved for children under 12, school administrators and parents are wondering what will happen when school opens in a few weeks. Church Militant's Kristine Christlieb tells us about the latest recommendations.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has given the teachers' unions a new stick with which to hit children.

The organization representing America's pediatricians issued new guidelines on Monday recommending "everyone older than age 2 wear masks, regardless of vaccination status."

Within hours, a teachers association in Florida gave the mask mandate for children a big thumbs-up.

The following day, the women on The View weighed in.

Sara Haines: "I think this is what we need to do. Science has shown itself. And the pandemic has become that of the unvaccinated."

But there are also serious concerns about carbon dioxide levels when breathing in exhaled air.

A study from Germany, scheduled for publication in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), said "the evidence base is weak" for nose-and-mouth mask mandates for children.

On Friday, JAMA issued a retraction of its article.

It was shortly after this retraction the AAP issued its mask mandate recommendation.

Many parents are outraged.

Mother at school board meeting: "You will end the mask requirement tonight."

It's likely in the coming weeks, pressure to mask children and vaccinate all teachers will grow.
