In 2019, Democrats in Congress — including bartender turned representative AOC — vehemently opposed a plan to increase security in New York's subways by hiring 500 additional transit officers.
The anti-police liberals balked at the proposal, calling it "unnecessary" and brushing off what they called "low-level, victimless crimes."
After yesterday's attack, AOC and other leftists took to Twitter to gush compassion in a crisis many critics accuse them of creating.
