Britain's prime minister Boris Johnson, a globalist long masquerading as a conservative, resigned yesterday. Church Militant's Sam McCarthy unpacks for us why "Bo-Jo" had to go.

Amid a host of scandals, a mass exodus of key cabinet ministers and mounting unpopularity amongst his own Conservative Party, U.K. prime minister Boris Johnson resigned yesterday.

Boris Johnson, former prime minister, United Kingdom: "It is clearly now the will of the parliamentary Conservative Party that there should be a new leader of that party and, therefore, a new prime minister."

An obvious target for left-wing politicians and media personalities alike, Johnson also faced growing rebellion within Conservative Party ranks. In early June, the now–ex-PM barely survived a vote of no confidence, with more of his own party voting against him than against any previous prime minister in the United Kingdom's history. But why was Johnson so disliked?

A cursory glance might suggest the scandals piling up over the past few months. Earlier this year, Parliament censured Johnson and the police fined him for repeatedly violating his own China-virus lockdown orders, hosting boozy Downing Street parties while the rest of the nation was following stay-at-home orders (given by Johnson). The party host claimed he thought the liquor-fueled ragers were "work events."

Just days ago, Johnson confirmed he organized secret unauthorized meetings with foreign spies while serving as foreign secretary.

Of course, the chief reason for all the Bo-Jo hate has been his policies. Former Brexit leader and arch-conservative Nigel Farage explained, "He was elected as a conservative but tended to govern as a liberal."

Aside from his draconian lockdown orders and obsession with giving Britain's money to Ukraine, Johnson significantly increased taxes, kneecapping the middle class especially. Most of those taxes went to fund the "green energy" agenda — a favorite of left-wing globalists. The rest went into recovering from Johnson's inept handling of the scamdemic.

Alongside his liberal wife, the now–ex-PM broke from tried and true Tory values to promote not just sodomy, but the trans agenda too.

Under his reign, illegal immigration reached record highs — and Johnson did nothing to stop it.

One of Johnson's former advisors claimed the ousted PM "very quickly got sucked in by the globalist agenda. He forgot he's a conservative. He went very hard on lockdowns, very hard on vaccines. He became woke, which is not what the conservative people voted for."

Once hailed as "Britain's Donald Trump," Boris Johnson proved himself far more akin to globalists like France's Emmanuel Macron and Canada's Justin Trudeau.

Johnson will stay on temporarily in a "caretaker" post until the Conservative Party finds a replacement.
