BOSTON (ChurchMilitant.com) - A signature from Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker is all that's needed to make biological sex illegal in the state.

Following yesterday's report, the state house of representatives voted 116 to 36 to replace objective biological sex with a subjective notion of "gender identity." A similar bill passed Massachusetts senate last month. Governor Baker has confirmed that he would sign the bill.

The bill, known as the "Gender Identity Public Accommodations Bill," or H.4343, reads, "Any public accommodation … shall grant all persons admission to and the full enjoyment of such public accommodation or other entity consistent with the person's gender identity."

The bill advances the transgender "anti-discrimination" laws in three ways:

1. Replaces the word "sex" with "gender identity" in state laws.

2. Mandates Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination to update policies in keeping with the switch from biological sex to "gender identity."

3. Allows people to use the restroom or locker room that corresponds to their "gender identity," removing restrictions on using facilities opposite of their biological sex.

Rep. James Lyons remarked,

The bill allows people on a routine basis to decide if they are male or female. Your anatomy is no longer relevant. This has absolutely nothing to do with discrimination, it has everything to do with changing our society and social engineering by those on the left.

Earlier this year the American College of Pediatricians reemphasized the distinction between biological sex and so-called "gender identity." In their position paper, published in March, they noted that human sexuality stems from the objective biological binary trait of "XY” (male) and "XX” (female) chromosomes. They reaffirmed the fact that everyone is born with a biological sex.

In another section of their report, the panel emphasized that awareness of one's biological sex as male or female, "develops over time and, like all developmental processes, may be derailed by a child’s subjective perceptions, relationships, and adverse experiences from infancy forward."

They further stated, "People who identify as 'feeling like the opposite sex' or 'somewhere in between' do not comprise a third sex. They remain biological men or biological women."

The group then brings up the very non politically correct topic of gender dysphoria. From their clinical experiences they related,

When an otherwise healthy biological boy believes he is a girl, or an otherwise healthy biological girl believes she is a boy, an objective psychological problem exists … Gender dysphoria (GD), formerly listed as Gender Identity Disorder (GID), is a recognized mental disorder in the most recent edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association (DSM-V).

But treating gender dysphoria as a mental disorder is illegal in four states in spite of the fact that "according to the DSM-V, as many as 98 percent of gender confused boys and 88 percent of gender confused girls eventually accept their biological sex after naturally passing through puberty."

The findings of science, as per the American College of Pediatricians, may be at odds with the newly approved bill in Massachusetts, but their scientific evidence does agree with the Bible which says in Genesis 1:27: "God created man ... male and female he created them" and in Genesis 5:1-2, which similarly reads, "God created man … He created them male and female."
