While Catholics around the country braced for violence Sunday following threats from bloodthirsty pro-aborts, the bark proved more menacing than the bite. A day later, Church Militant's Paul Murano reviews the pro-child-killing Mother's Day protests that took place at Catholic churches.

A pro-abortion group put out a clarion call last week to disrupt Catholic Masses on Mother's Day. This, to protest Catholic justices on the Supreme Court after a draft opinion on abortion was leaked. The group, called Ruth Sent Us, is named after late high court justice and abortion advocate Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg: "Any attempt to restrict abortion is going to affect only the poorest segment of the population."

Only two significant church incidents, however, were reported. In Los Angeles, a group of young women in red interrupted Mass. Over in New York, another spectacle occurred in front of Old St. Patrick's Cathedral.

With few protests Sunday, police departments weren't busy, but the Twitterverse was.

"The Catholic Church is the moral foundation of the West," one tweeter wrote. "Nowhere in the history of humanity have women achieved more equality ... ."

And responding to Arizona congressman Paul Gosar, noting Catholic men defending their churches, Georgia representative Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted, "God bless them. They are heroes."

The threat may have been somewhat of a dud this time, but faithful Catholics know more persecution lies ahead.

This demonic, instigating group also threatened to burn the Eucharist as an expression of its hatred for the Catholic Church. But no such sacrilege took place.
