UPDATE, 7/7/21: The chancellor and general counsel for the diocese of Springfield, Illinois, Mr. James Bock Jr., contacted Church Militant claiming an informant named in the lawsuit was not credible per the diocese's estimation. Regarding this case, Church Militant rejects charges the informant is not credible; we also have knowledge of other informants who corroborate the story as published.
Bock also writes, "[T]he affidavit of former FBI agent Kenneth McCabe contains a false statement, which is repeated or implied in your articles, where he states in paragraph 11 on page 13 that 'Harman's current and former Ordinaries have, to the present, left these allegations without an authentic, independent and impartial investigation.'"
He goes on to quote from the Special Panel, which primarily examined allegations about disgraced Bp. Daniel Ryan, who was found to have engaged in multiple acts of homosexual misconduct. Other priests in Springfield were also found to have committed financial and sexual improprieties. The panel also looked briefly at allegations made by Thomas Muñoz regarding an alleged orgy he witnessed in Bp. Lucas' rectory, and dismissed them as not credible.
We have reason to believe the 2004 investigation was neither impartial nor complete. For one, the panel failed to interview key witnesses with knowledge of the events, leading to a one-sided and incomplete investigation. Also, at least one of the panelists, regardless of the claims of Bp. Lucas, was indirectly in the pay of the diocese, calling into question the independence of the investigation.
We are aware Muñoz was the target of retaliation for his eyewitness testimony, including false criminal charges (that were eventually thrown out) for offering his eyewitness account of what transpired between Bp. Lucas, Fr. Harman and others present in the rectory at the alleged orgy mentioned in Gorgia's lawsuit.

New York's cardinal Timothy Dolan and the North American College seminary in Rome, the NAC for short, are being sued for homosexual predation and cover-up. The lawsuit presents disturbing new allegations. Church Militant's William Mahoney takes a closer look at some of the details.
The current rector of the NAC, Fr. Peter Harman, participated in a gay orgy with his former bishop and others in the presence of vulnerable seminarians — this, according to eyewitness testimony covered in the lawsuit.
Affidavits identify the former prelate as Omaha's archbishop George Lucas, who, at the time, was bishop of Springfield, Illinois.
And the sodomite clerics paid a man to participate.
Gene Gomulka, clerical abuse victims advocate: "In this particular case, in that particular orgy, the person who was paid $300 for his services — but he was not a gay prostitute. ... They're doing this because they're poor. They need the money."
Also reportedly at the orgy was former Springfield monsignor Kevin Vann, who is now the bishop of Orange, California.
He further mentioned an FBI agent, who, after reviewing the case, deemed it credible.
Gene Gomulka: "He said he was looking for three things: capability, opportunity and motive. ... He found the evidence extremely credible."
Turning to the NAC's vice rector, Fr. Adam Park, testimony from subordinates reveals the priest's pattern of homosexual predation.
Gene Gomulka: "In Park's case, he goes after young, handsome ... naïve. If you're naïve, you can be groomed."
Park was ordained by disgraced homosexual pederast Theodore McCarrick and climbed the rungs of power under McCarrick crony Cdl. Donald Wuerl.
Harman apparently used his position as the NAC's rector to cover up predatory homosexuality, getting help from men with even more power.
Gene Gomulka: "Fox Rothschild, that has been retained by the North American College, is one of the most pro-LGBTQ law firms in the country. And you would think they might want to downplay that aspect because they're being accused of homosexual predation."
Either retaliating against whistleblowers or refusing to speak out, the key players in the alleged cover-up further include Harman's bishop, Thomas Paprocki in Illinois; Park's archbishop, Wilton Gregory in D.C.; and the NAC's Board of Governors.
Bringing the lawsuit is former NAC seminarian Anthony Gorgia, a young man with a confirmed track record of service and excellence. Gorgia is raising funds for legal fees on GoFundMe at Save Our Seminarians Fund.
Dolan was the first grand marshal to welcome a gay group to march in the St. Patrick's Day parade in New York City. Longtime viewers will remember, Church Militant was on the scene that day, and Dolan refused to answer our question.
