The average age of U.S. House members is roughly 60 years old. The average age of U.S. Senate members is roughly 65 years old.

William Mahoney joins us to discuss what this could mean moving forward. In tonight's In-Depth Report, we look at the younger Democrats' push to oust the older establishment.

Rep. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich.: "We need a new generation. We need new blood. Period."

Democrat Rep. Elissa Slotkin summarizes a common sentiment among younger Dems. They are tired of the old guard — the very old guard ― a good portion of whom are octogenarians.

At 89 years old, Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein is the oldest person in congress.

Other octogenarian Democrats (or Independents that caucus with the Dems) include Sen. Bernie Sanders and over 10 representatives, including Alan Lowenthal, Maxine Waters and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

Pelosi ― a self-proclaimed Catholic who publicly opposes Catholic moral teaching on just about every topic ― is not known for her eloquence. Pelosi has become the butt of online jokes and the star of many parodies. But despite her attempts to be woke, she is not woke enough for the radically Left generations of younger Democrats like the so-called Squad.

Interviewer, CBS This Morning: "There appears to be a fractured relationship between the Squad, the four of you, and Nancy Pelosi."

Since 2018, the Squad has added two more members, Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush. The group has become increasingly more vocal about its desire for new leadership in pursuit of an extremely radical agenda. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is perhaps the most outspoken.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.: "Most people don't really know what capitalism is. Most people don't even know what socialism is. But most people are not capitalists because they don't have capitalist money; they're not billionaires."

Ocasio-Cortez is a key player in the Marxist push to alter the very fabric of a well-ordered society. She and her younger Democrat cohorts are attempting to shape the United States into something unrecognizable ― a socialist wasteland that has no place for yesterday's leftist leaders like the Democrat octogenarians.

While the likes of Pelosi and Waters will undoubtedly be reelected, their influence is quickly sinking. Today's younger radical Democrats are rapidly driving yesterday's into irrelevance.

Joe Biden will soon join the Democrat octogenarians in about two weeks when he turns 80 on Nov. 20th.
