"The Biden administration is helping the cartels make more money," declares Texas governor Greg Abbott.
Joe Biden is abandoning one of the core functions of federal government, protecting its citizens from external threats.
Texas governor Greg Abbott highlights the escalating danger Biden created.
Abbott: "There have been more than 800 criminal aliens apprehended. Those were violent criminals who had been previously arrested in the United States and deported, who came across the border again."
Furthermore, Abbott reveals Biden's dangerous policy toward federal agents.
Abbott: "The Biden administration is not providing vaccinations for the border patrol. We have border patrol officers whose lives are on the line on a daily basis — an hourly basis."
Over 100 illegal migrants who tested positive for COVID have already been released into the Texas community. In response, Abbott is ramping up the state Department of Public Safety and Texas National Guard as part of Operation Lone Star.
Even Texas Democrats, like Congressman Henry Cuellar, are speaking out against Biden’s border policy. As Cuellar says, our country is currently unprepared to handle a surge in migrants in the middle of the pandemic.
Expectations for this immigration surge are high.
Rep. Michael McCaul: "I predict this. By summer, as my governor just said, you're going to see somewhere around a million people enter this country — illegally."
Hidden among the millions of illegal immigrants are potentially massive threats.
Sen. Lindsey Graham: "This is the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Al-Qaeda and ISIS would love nothing more than to hit us again on the 20th anniversary to show that they are alive and well. And this border insecurity is a great way for terrorists to come into our country."
Children, however, are the current victims of Biden's illegal migrations.
Rep. McCaul: "President Biden says he wants us to be humane. He has actually created a humanitarian crisis. These poor children, they get trafficked all the way up a dangerous route, and now we don't have enough detention space to put them in."
Open borders are a national security threat. In the absence of leadership from the federal government, local and state authorities will need to partner together to combat the danger.
