Talk Host: "Critical race theory is the cancer of education."

Ohio's Attorney General Dave Yost is joining Indiana's Todd Rokita and 18 others in signing a letter to the U.S. Department of Education. The eight-page communique criticizes the federal government's attempt to indoctrinate students with critical race theory and the 1619 Project.

Yost claims, "Critical race theory is nothing more than ideology posing as history, and we should not confuse the two."

Angry mother: "We want action and a backbone for what we ask for today — to ban CRT. We don't want your political advertisement to divide our children or belittle them. Think twice before you indoctrinate such racist theories. You cannot tell me what is and what is not racist. Look at me!"

State attorneys general aren't the only ones attacking these race-based theories. Some governors have also had their say.

Gov. Ron DeSantis: "Let me be clear, there's no room in our classrooms for things like critical race theory. Teaching kids to hate their country and to hate each other is not worth one red cent of taxpayer money."

Senators, too, have joined the fray.

Sen. Tom Cotton: "In Portland, where they tore down the statue of [George] Washington, they also spray-painted on him the date '1619' — a reference to the New York Times' revisionist anti-American history project."

And, of course, talk shows are slamming it.

Christopher Rufo: "Critical race theory has become, in essence, the default ideology of the federal bureaucracy and is now being weaponized against the American people."

Yet none of this ruffles the feathers of the Biden administration, which sees the world through the prism of race.

Jen Psaki: "I don't think we would think we believe that educating the future leaders of the country on systemic racism is indoctrination. That's actually responsible."

Rather than believing the nation's founding principles pave the way for liberty and justice for all, this ideology posed as history claims the principles are irredeemably racist.

Talk host: "America has one of the worst records in the world on minorities. No matter what its leadership tells you, the country is systematically racist."

Last month the Department of Education proposed federal grant money go to teacher training to highlight racial sensitivity in American history, civics and government.

Tyrone Magnus: "It doesn't make you racist to say I'm a black guy."

Time will tell whether pushback against the Marxist elites will stave off Democrat attempts to teach children leftist ideology rather than American history.
