State Sen. Doug Mastriano, R-PA: "I saw elections in Afghanistan that were more safe and secure than in Pennsylvania."

Pennsylvania Republicans have gone to Arizona to study the election audit happening there.

Taking the trip are Pennsylvania state Rep. Rob Kauffman and state Sens. Doug Mastriano and Cris Dush.

They toured the audit Wednesday at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, where contractors with the company Cyber Ninjas are examining 2.1 million ballots cast in Maricopa County.

As of Monday, 50% of those ballots were counted.

Kauffman told the Epoch Times the trip is a "fact-finding mission" about what the process in Arizona looks like. Dush said it's possible there will be a similar move in the Keystone State.

Maricopa County was the scene of a virtual disaster in the 2020 election, as the vote count dragged on many days after Election Night.

Courts have tossed election lawsuits out the window, and Democrats have gone full-court press against efforts to secure election integrity.

Some believe growing interest in the Maricopa audit means there's finally action on investigating election fraud. Others fear the audit will go up in smoke — like so many past efforts.
