According to Federal Election Commission data, on Jan. 10 the super PAC funded by George Soros, Democracy PAC, gave Priorities USA $2 million. Records also show that Soros' PAC gave $5 million to the progressive Senate Majority PAC, which attempts to help Democrats win control of the U.S. Senate.
Donald Trump and his Republican allies in Congress have made it clear that they view Joe Biden as the likely Democratic nominee, and are beginning to attack him in an effort to define the race before our primary is officially over and the nominee can defend himself. We will not allow that to go unanswered.
Once Biden won South Carolina and dominated Super Tuesday, Republicans began to shift their focus to him, Biden-family business dealings and the candidate's mental acuity and fitness for office. "He doesn't even know where he is or what he's doing or what office he's running for," said President Trump. "Honestly, I don’t think he knows what office he's running for," repeated the president during a recent campaign rally.
Priorities USA, the main Democratic super PAC focused on the presidential race, says it will back Biden with ads rebutting GOP attacks. This flagship 2020 super PAC will be providing cover to Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, via advertisements that define him and rebuke any redefining of him from Republicans. Politico reported on March 9 that the PAC is saying that presumptive nominee Biden will indeed need "to be defended from attacks being waged by President Donald Trump and his allies."
Priorities USA has already started "the process of conducting research and producing both digital and TV ads" to counter President Trump, and the super PAC is "prepared to fight back against any false attacks waged by Republicans against Joe Biden," Cecil told Politico. Newsbusters has reported that in July 2019, Priorities USA announced "it was launching an advertising campaign that would repackage local news into Democratic propaganda, in an attempt to assist the DNC with its 2020 presidential campaign." The SuperPAC will funnel at least $1 million a month online to key swing states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Florida, it claims, and an "in-house ads team" will write "greater volumes of content" and post it on Facebook and Google.
Back in 2016, The Washington Post referred to Priorities USA as "The main super PAC backing Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton." The Center for Responsive Politics, a self-defined nonpartisan, independent organization dedicated to researching and tracking money in U.S. politics, shows on its website OpenSecrets.org that Soros personally gave at least $9,506,693 during that cycle.
On Soros' personal page from the Open Society Foundations, the fundraising organization founded by Soros that claims to be "the world's largest private funder of independent groups working for justice, democratic governance, and human rights," it states: "Under George Soros' leadership, the Open Society Foundations support individuals and organizations across the globe fighting for freedom of expression, accountable government and societies that promote justice and equality."
Faithful Catholics have a problem seeing how such funding of a candidacy that supports the unfettered killing of preborn children, gay "marriage" and an ideology that recognizes many genders (Biden said there are "at least three") and no genders (i.e., non-binary) can contribute to freedom, justice, equality and human rights. Some are working diligently against Soros and the self-proclaimed Catholic he is funding, who is as of now the presumptive candidate that will face Donald Trump in the fall for the presidency of the United States.
