DETROIT ( - In a video exposé released Thursday, conservative commentator Steven Crowder exposes the dark underbelly of Antifa, the radical leftist group responsible for hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of property damage as well as multiple injuries in protests all over the world — protests that have ramped up since the election of President Donald Trump.

"You'll see more in this video than you've probably ever seen before: the kinds of attacks they plot, how they coordinate, what tools they use," Crowder remarks in the introduction. "Even more importantly, you'll see a complicit media, who, when offered this very footage, turned the other way."

The footage was shot in the run-up to Ben Shapiro's appearance at the University of Utah Wednesday. After a video montage showing reporters, TV hosts and celebrities defending the work of Antifa (short for "anti-fascist"), the video segues into footage secretly shot by Jared Monroe, who infiltrated a local Antifa group, revealing a plot to commit violence at the anti-Shapiro protest.

The leader of the group — an individual with a sexually ambiguous identity, but who appears to be a woman — hands a knife to Monroe, going on to talk about weapons, including a sawed-off shotgun and "two AKs." She then gives advice on buying a combat knife at a nearby military surplus store and using it during the protest.

"This one's, like, really tiny, so you really have to stab them," she said.

Later, she added, "Last ditch is going to be, lure them down here."

At this point, Monroe made an excuse to leave, and immediately called the police — who, it turns out, had been monitoring this individual for some time. Although the police expressed gratitude for the tip, local media showed little interest in the story.

Is the media complicit in all of this?

Although shown the damning footage, neither Matt McDonald from Fox 13 News or Dan Harris from Nightline wanted to use it or report on it.

"Their response is what's most disturbing of all," Crowder says in the video. "Why did it take a late-night podcast host and his producer to do this kind of journalism?"

"You mean to tell me that no one at ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, with billions of dollars in resources could have done this?" This leads him to ask: "Are they complicit? Is the media complicit in all of this?"
