Church Militant's theme for the upcoming Strength and Honor conference is "Our Lady's Knights" because of the many ways in which the Blessed Virgin Mary helps men to develop authentic masculinity.

Love is spelled out in sacrifice, and men are called in multiple ways to lay down their lives for family and for the defenseless in society. The Mother of God holds forth her Son who, as St. Peter relates in 1 Peter 2:21, is the icon of sacrifice: "Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example that you should follow his steps."

Life is a spiritual boot camp where men learn how to put off, as St. Paul says in Ephesians 4:22–24, "the old man, who is corrupted according to the desire of error ... and put on the new man." As the biological Mother of God and the spiritual mother of mankind, Our Lady elicits a man's paternal instinct to protect, guide and provide for his biological family and the weak of society in general.

Mary's perfect femininity gives men a perfect complementary pattern to draw forth his authentic masculinity. This pattern offsets the feminist movement's two false versions of manhood; one is emasculated men and the other is abusive men, both of which fail to defend the weaker sex.

The Blessed Mother is the docile spouse of the Holy Spirit in Heaven as embodied in good St. Joseph on Earth. She's the one who, in Luke 1:38, said in acceptance of God's plan, "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done to me according to thy word." She's also the one who directs men in John 2:5 to "Do whatever he tells you." This counters the feminists' competitive and rebellious mindset.

Fallen mankind cannot develop authentic masculinity without the graces needed to grow and sustain virtue. Here Our Lady comes to the aid of men as Advocate and Mediatrix of All Graces. She draws down the graces accrued by the sacrifice of her Son so that man is enabled to imitate His virtues.
