Italian politician Sara Cunial is slamming totalitarianism and laying blame on billionaire Bill Gates.

On May 14, Cunial argued in the Italian Parliament that political leaders are using the Wuhan virus as an excuse to override personal freedom and enact authoritarian policies.

She denounced the government's deference to the World Health Organization, which is funded in part by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Her speech comes after recent allegations that Bill Gates offered Nigerian lawmakers $10 million to pass a mandatory vaccination bill into law.

Catholics are troubled by the idea of mandatory vaccination since some vaccines are developed using cell lines from the bodies of aborted babies, which is against Catholic teaching.

One major concern for Catholics is that Gates supports population control. For instance, in 2018 he called population growth in Africa a "challenge," and trumpeted contraceptives as the solution, saying, "The biggest things are the modern tools of contraception."

During the Wuhan virus pandemic, many have criticized severe lockdown measures and government overreach.

Now, as lockdowns begin to loosen, people like Cunial are afraid tight government control might stick around as the new normal.
