The dueling town halls last night were a perfect example of the division between the mainstream media and fairness.
At first, actors like Julia Louis-Dreyfus called for a boycott of NBC after the liberal network agreed to host a town hall with President Trump at the same time as Joe Biden's town hall on ABC. But once Trump's town hall started, it was obvious it would not be a friendly exchange. It ended up being his second presidential debate, only it was against NBC crony Savannah Guthrie.
Despite her savage jibes, snarkiness, flat-out wrong statements and the dozens of times she interrupted Trump, liberals still snubbed their noses at the exchange in an organized effort to give Joe Biden's town hall better ratings.
Biden had a much easier time for his town hall. ABC's George Stephanopoulos was the moderator, but "gentle guide" is a more apt description of how he conducted himself during the proceedings. He asked Biden no particularly challenging questions, nor did he really beg for clarification when Biden said outlandish things.
Just like Biden's town hall Oct. 9 in Florida, which was an alleged "audience of undecided Florida voters," Biden's town hall audience of "Republicans" and "undecided voters" featured leftist plants — one, a speechwriter for Obama, the other the wife of a Democrat Pennsylvania politician.
