If you thought the transgender agenda came on fast, hold on to your hat for the next new thing — transhumanism.

In tonight's In-Depth Report, Church Militant's Kristine Christlieb brings us Part II of her look at an age-old evil masquerading as a new idea.

Yuval Noah Harari, author, Sapiens: "We have no idea what happens once you pass that point."

In a rare moment of humility, public intellectual Yuval Noah Harari is admitting transhumanists don't know how humans might be affected by bio-digital technologies — tech-based augmentations to the human body.

Mostly, bio-digital advocates point to the positive impact on global health and longevity.

But of those who warn of transhumanism's capacity for dehumanization, many believe the transgender movement has been a warm-up exercise for a full-blown transhumanist agenda.

Independent investigator James Corbett draws the connection.

James Corbett, journalist, The Corbett Report: "This is where it is ultimately heading. I think the trans agenda is ultimately at the bottom line is the transhumanist agenda."

Steven Mosher, who has been calling out China for its biological and sociological human experiments for the last 40 years, agrees with Corbett.

Steven Mosher, president, Population Research Institute:

The parallel here between transhumanism and transgender because the transgender people think what? They think they have the right to change the biological reality of gender through the use of science and medicine and that scientists and physicians have the right to remold society to the point where gender is now a fluid concept. Well, take that and transpose it over to transhumanism. It's the same idea.

In the preface to From Transgender to Transhuman, author Martine Rothblatt also makes the connection: "I came to realize that choosing one's gender is merely an important subset of choosing one's form. By form, I mean that which encloses our beingness."

The next step in the process will be to use these human "augmentations" to weed out the weak and "perfect" the human species.

Corbett: "There is no way around it. This is exactly eugenics. And of course, this is framed in the way eugenicists would actually frame it. No, this isn't about eliminating people from the gene pool; it's about improving the gene pool, and intervening to help develop and nurture the humans."

The idea of humans becoming like God has had remarkable staying power but always ends in tragic, unintended consequences.
