In July, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed an executive order saying Michigan would not extradite women who travel to Michigan for an abortion. Now, out-of-state abortions are on the rise.

Church Militant's Nadia Bullock looks into the bloodthirsty future of the Great Lake State.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer: "The thought that we might not have access to it is really scary and disturbing."

The Detroit Free Press recently learned from Planned Parenthood of Michigan that out-of-state patients make up about 20% of all abortions.

Its CEO and president stated, "If the previous weekly average was 18, the new average would be around 42 and sometimes as high as 58 [abortions] in a week."

Mothers are coming from Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee — and even as far as Texas.

Church Militant spoke to Pro-Life Michigan Director Lynn Mills.

She declared Whitmer is bringing in the "death industry" with Proposal 3, a pro-abortion constitutional amendment on the ballot in November.

Lynn Mills: "It will make Michigan — Pure Michigan — pure abortion. The earth should open up and swallow this state. It will be so vile."

Mills said that she and her team have seen an influx of abortionists applying for medical licenses in Michigan.

A recent poll by The Detroit News and its partners found nearly 62% of likely Michigan voters support the proposal.

Pollster Richard Czuba noted 1 in 3 "strong Republicans" are in favor.

Richard Czuba: "As long as those Republicans support Proposition 3, it will be very difficult to defeat."

Even Christians are supporting it, including Catholics, Baptists, Lutherans and nondenominationals.

Lynn Mills: "I think that perhaps they don't understand the gravity of this proposal."

If the proposal is rejected, then Michigan will stop being an abortion destination state, at least for the time being.

Planned Parenthood of Michigan implemented an abortion navigator program, which helps women obtain abortions by booking transportation, lodging and appointments — and arranging financial assistance.
