WASHINGTON (ChurchMilitant.com) - Amid the realities of a war-torn Europe and a nation in economic free fall, phony Catholic Joe Biden is focusing his attention on LGBT matters.
The unelected president issued a bevy of new measures on Thursday in support of people who identify as transgender or nonbinary. In a related proclamation on Wednesday, Biden decreed March 31 as "National Transgender Day of Visibility." He urged all Americans to join him "in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our nation and to work toward eliminating discrimination against all transgender, gender-nonconforming and nonbinary people."
"We celebrate the activism and determination that have fueled the fight for transgender equality," he added. "We acknowledge the adversity and discrimination that the transgender community continues to face across our nation and around the world."
The new measures, allegedly aimed at making the federal government more inclusive, include an option for transgender individuals to mark "X" when identifying their gender on U.S. passport applications, beginning mid-April.
The Transportation Security Administration is implementing new gender-neutral scanners as part of the administration's efforts to systematically embed transgenderism into America's infrastructure.
In addition, people visiting the White House will soon see "X" as an option in the visitor entry system used to perform background checks on visitors.
"Transgender people are some of the bravest Americans I know, and our nation and the world are stronger, more vibrant and more prosperous because of them," Biden said in this week's proclamation. "To transgender Americans of all ages, I want you to know that you are so brave. You belong. I have your back."
Biden pulled America's children into the proclamation, slamming states across the United States for protecting kids and pushing back against the Democrats' radical LGBT agenda, saying:
In the past year, hundreds of anti-transgender bills in states were proposed across America — most of them targeting transgender kids. The onslaught has continued this year. These bills are wrong. Efforts to criminalize supportive medical care for transgender kids, to ban transgender children from playing sports and to outlaw discussing LGBTQI+ people in schools undermine their humanity and corrode our nation's values.
Biden's cave to the radical Left's agenda is unsurprising. Just hours after his inauguration in January 2021, he signed an executive order giving sweeping rights to people who masquerade as the opposite of their biological sex.
That executive order, titled "Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation," dealt a powerful blow against women's sports. It effectively denied federal funding to any educational institution that does not welcome biologically male athletes to women's teams and scholarships.
In 2019, on the presidential campaign trail, Biden famously cast doubt on biological reality. When a Turning Point USA staffer asked, "How many genders are there?" the candidate responded, "There are at least three."
Biden then attempted to buttress his response, adding, "By the way, the first one to come out for gay marriage was me," before moving on to socialize with others who had come out to see him.
Biden's support of the LGBT agenda will not stop with the latest measures, just as LGBT groups will not stop supporting radical Democrat candidates. In 2020, for example, according to Open Secrets, LGBT groups "spent $6.9 million supporting Democrats and only $79,800 to support Republicans."
Pro-gay Jesuit Fr. James Martin was quick to join in celebrating the "Day of Visibility" by sowing seeds of apostasy among young people. He tweeted on Thursday, "To my transgender Catholic friends, remember what Cdl. Wilton Gregory said to a trans youth — 'You belong to the heart of this Church. There is nothing that you may do, may say, that will rip you from the heart of this Church.'"
Today is Transgender Day of Visibility #TDOV To my transgender Catholic friends, remember what Cardinal Wilton Gregory said to a trans youth: "You belong to the heart of this church. There is nothing that you may do, may say, that will rip you from the heart of this church."— James Martin, SJ (@JamesMartinSJ) March 31, 2022
In contrast, the Catholic League posted an orthodox message, writing, "Why is Biden celebrating Transgender Day of Visibility? What exactly is there to celebrate? After all, there is no such thing as a transgender person — you are either a man or a woman. The sexually confused need help, not a pat on the back."
The Department of Health and Human Services is set to fly a transgender pride flag to mark the "holiday," representing the first time in history a federal agency will do so.
