GENERAL information

• Apply for or renew a U.S. passport.

For those who wish to fly in to NY one day prior to embarkation day, following are HOTELS NEAR THE NEW YORK AIRPORTS (in order of recommendation by Princess Cruises).  You may still use the Princess Cruises airport transfer to the ship by returning to the airport on embarkation day.

→ Using Cell Phones at Sea:  **CAUTION**, be sure to place your cell phones on "airplane mode" while onboard the ship, or you may return home to a big surprise on your next bill.  If you are logged in to the Princess MedallionNet WiFi, you may use it for onboard texting, and checking emails and videos (but not for phone calls and outside texting. Check with your cell phone service provider for details on costs).  The cost for WiFi is $105.00 for the week.  If you would like this package, you may purchase it through the MedallionClass app (click on "MedallionNet).  Or, it is included if you purchased the Princess Plus or Premium Beverage Packages.

 

RETREAT AT SEA information

♦  THE RETREAT AT SEA SCHEDULE. (TBD) Due to the port-intensive itinerary, so that retreatants may be able to spend time in ports and enjoy shore excursions, our daily retreat schedule (rosary, morning prayer, Mass and one presentation by Michael Voris) will be from 8:15 a.m. to approx. 11:30 a.m. each day.  We plan to have an optional Q&A session from 1–2:30 p.m. On Friday, the sea day, Michael will give an additional presentation. We are finalizing details with Princess Cruises; this information is subject to change.

(The retreat schedule may overlap with cruise ship and port activities in which you are interested. This is primarily a retreat; we understand, however, if you would like to take advantage of all the other possibilities on this trip. The presentations will be recorded and a link will be provided to you for viewing after the cruise should you miss any (a Premium subscription to Church Militant is required).  THIS SCHEDULE WILL BE PROVIDED ONBOARD THE SHIP.

♦  CHAPEL PRAYER & CHRISTIAN PRAYER BOOKS BUNDLE.  We will pray the Rosary, morning prayer and have Holy Mass beginning at 9 a.m. daily.  For morning prayer, we will be using the Christian Prayer book (aka breviary) and the CM Chapel Prayer Book, as we do each morning in the St. Michael Chapel here at CM (which is livestreamed, and in which you can participate by simply visiting our website at 8 a.m. & 4:45 p.m. ET M–F.)  If you wish to participate or follow along onboard, our CM store has bundled the 2 books for purchase.  We strongly recommend you order these well in advance of the cruise and bring them with you as we will have only a very limited amount with us.  ​(You may also purchase each book separately if you want only one.)  

♦ EMBARKATION INFORMATION -

Cruise check-in will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m. and embarkation will begin at approximately 1:00 p.m.. 

Advance Check-In is available at 12:00 p.m. for the following Princess guests:

• Guests with a Priority Boarding Pass (Platinum and Elite Princess Captain's Circle Members and Suite Guests)
• Guests whose flights arrive prior to 10:00 AM
• Guests booked on Princess pre-Cruise Cruise Plus hotel packages and/or Princess transfers

♦ DISEMBARKATION INFORMATION – If you have opted to use the airport transfers and provided your flight information before the cruise, you should receive the transfer tickets in your stateroom at the beginning of the cruise (placed near your phone, on the desk). If you are not using airport transfers, you will receive disembarkation / questionnaire information in your stateroom by the second or third day of the cruise.

≈ Travel accessories: Clear, vinyl luggage tag holders You will print onto regular paper your boarding pass through Princess Cruises. You can either fold and tape them onto your luggage handles OR you can use these very useful tag holders. They can also be found on Amazon in small quantities.

≈ Travel accessories: Magnetic hooks These are very useful for hanging wet clothing, lanyards, etc. from the steel/metal ceiling or walls of a stateroom.

≈ Travel accessories:  Ear plugs  Sensitive to sounds while sleeping, especially when traveling?  Consider soft, moldable ear plugs!  They can also be found at your local pharmacy.

≈ Travel accessories:  Lightweight, folding luggage, carry-ons & packing cubes  Other packing cubes can be found here.  Tip:  compression packing cubes save space.
