Brothers From Abroad

Brothers From Abroad

By Church Militant • August 8, 2023 •

Faithful Catholic men from across the United States and Canada converged on Detroit this past weekend to attend Church Militant's 2023 Strength & Honor Conference. From Maine in the East to California in the West, this eclectic band of brothers represented 25 states — half those in the union — as well as Canada's largest province, Ontario. As impressive as these transcontinental treks were, they paled in comparison to those of two attendees visiting from abroad: Milagres Pereira, who traveled some 8,200 miles from Goa, on the west coast of India, and Vinicius Adamo, who journeyed roughly 5,100 miles from Brazil's largest city, São Paulo. Their participation was made possible by the generosity of another Church Militant supporter. Read more

St. John Vianney — Too Harsh for Our Time?

St. John Vianney — Too Harsh for Our Time?

by Fr. Paul John Kalchik • August 3, 2023 •

St. John Vianney, the Curé D'Ars was proactive in fighting against all sin. As the town square dances, common in Ars during the Curé's pastorate led his parishioners to debauchery and sin, he colluded with the town's mayor and banned them altogether. Ars during St. John Vianney's long tenure as pastor became known as a town without any dancing, but even more importantly, for the holiness of its citizens.  Read more

Afraid to Walk on Water?

Afraid to Walk on Water?

by Fr. Paul John Kalchik • July 25, 2023 •

Jesus asks all of us, as disciples, to walk on water — to do what, during our lives, is humanly impossible yet becomes possible with His grace and spiritual presence. Many modern-day disciples are taking their Catholic faith seriously by getting out of the boat, with many moving their families and businesses from blue states to red states. God is buoying them with His blessings.  Read more

Stopping the Scourge of Sexual Slavery

Stopping the Scourge of Sexual Slavery

by Fr. Paul John Kalchik • July 8, 2023 •

A few years ago, the evil reality of sex trafficking was made clear to me as it played out in my parish. This evil continues to grow in our world, despite many stalwart men and women working at bringing it to an end behind the scenes. Our first line of defense against this, is knowing what is going on, and taking steps to protect our youth. Read more

Make Public Libraries Safe for Our Kids Again

Make Public Libraries Safe for Our Kids Again

by Fr. Paul John Kalchik • July 7, 2023 •

Libraries have been taken over by leftists pushing a boatload of misinformation and lies, and all of this is easily available to any child who walks into a public library. Fundamentally, municipal libraries have been stocked with loads of grooming materials. The content of these books, in addition to pushing bald-faced lies as truth, maligns the faith of the Church and steals away the innocence of those who peruse it. Parents need to take back control of their community libraries and remove all books and materials that are not in keeping with their values or are not age appropriate for young children.  Read more

Passing Off Smut as Theology

Passing Off Smut as Theology

by Anonymous Priest • July 5, 2023 •

The pope recently made the Argentinian Abp. Víctor Manuel Fernández the new head of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. This appointment has many Catholics scratching their heads, as the archbishop has written many books over the last three decades that are far from orthodox. Many are saying these books are just smut. One anonymous priest weighs in on why this appointment signals doom for the Church.  Read more

Remembering the Month of the Precious Blood of Jesus

Remembering the Month of the Precious Blood of Jesus

By Martina Moyski • July 1, 2023 •

One of the beautiful and mysterious features of the Catholic faith is the unfolding of its liturgical year — notably, May, the month of Mary, and June, the month of the Sacred Heart. But one of the months whose significance has been forgotten in recent times is July, the month of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus. Read more

CM Resistance vs. the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence

By Alexander Karzon • June 23, 2023 •

Last Friday, thousands of Catholics from across the country participated in a prayerful procession against the Los Angeles Dodgers honoring the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. But for Baseball, Clayton?

But for Baseball, Clayton?

By Paul Brock III • June 22, 2023 •

Last week, when Clayton Kershaw, a self-professed Christian who at one point spoke out against his team's endorsement of blasphemy, chose to wear a uniform promoting sodomy and genital mutilation, he not only acted like a coward but also rebelled against God. Despite claims of Christian discipleship from Kershaw, the team's manager and a smattering of other players, not one member of the Los Angeles Dodgers boycotted the organization's sacrilegious Pride Night, and, as such, all of them should turn in their Christianity cards until they start living out the basic tenets of the gospel. Read more

The Great Legacy of Chicago’s Polish League

by Fr. Paul John Kalchik • June 9, 2023 •

Chicago's numerous over-the-top-gorgeous Catholic Churches are the great legacy of the Polish League. The league fought against the communists in Europe and saved the faith of Chicago's Catholics, as well as their churches. Their living testament is the many great churches that they saved from wreck-o-vation in the '70s.  Read more

Sr. Tequila Nastypants, Mother Superior of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, came out swinging at a press event last evening, criticizing Pope Francis for his attacks on conservative religious orders in the Catholic Church.
