Pope St. John Paul II once wrote that suffering is "almost inseparable from man's earthly existence," but the art of suffering well has been lost on modern man for decades. There are, luckily, three ways to learn how, and it will make you invincible. Suffering cannot be conquered without first learning to embrace it. Accepting suffering is recognizing that it is an opportunity for purgation and sanctification — and a chance to fulfill God's will. Fr. James Martin Faces Resistance at New York Parish
Although dissenters seeking to corrupt the Church from within are given platforms — even in Catholic parishes — the efforts of some laymen show that faithful Catholics won't sit idly by and let authentic Church teaching be ignored. On Sunday, Sept. 17, Church Militant Resistance organized over a dozen Catholics to protest Fr. James Martin's appearance at St. Pius X parish in Scarsdale, New York. The group objecting to Martin's message included Resistance members from New York, Connecticut and New Jersey chapters, as well as members from Tradition Family Property and Westchester County Pro-Life. Sex trafficking and abortions are inexplicably linked. For years, it has been documented that abortions are utilized as a tool by abusers and traffickers to further exploit women and young girls. Sex trafficking and sexual abuse of children are rampant in the United States. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a stark increase in reported trafficking cases across the United States. As previously noted, in 2022, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children cited more than 19,000 reports of possible child sex trafficking cases. Read more

Saint Pius X Catholic Church in Scarsdale, N.Y., is advertising an in-person talk by homosexualist Fr. James Martin, S.J., on the Synod on Synodality and reaching out to LGBT Catholics. Martin's work to promote homosexual and transgender "inclusion" in the Catholic Church is well known. However, the parish needs to be informed about the litany of scandalous things Martin has said over the years and ask to disinvite Martin from speaking. Read more

With no projected end to the chaos of illegal immigration at the Mexican border, some congressional Republicans have decided to confront the religious agencies aggravating the problem — including Catholic Charities, which plays a pivotal role in human smuggling, as The Stream reported. Even conservative Catholics are organizing to oppose their bishops' support of open borders. In south Louisiana, the world changed on Wednesday, Aug. 2, with the tragic death of Fr. Mark Beard. Today, my friend was laid to rest in Amite, Louisiana, and it's still impossible to comprehend his departure into eternal life. A good friend of both Fr. Brothers From Abroad
Faithful Catholic men from across the United States and Canada converged on Detroit this past weekend to attend Church Militant's 2023 Strength & Honor Conference. From Maine in the East to California in the West, this eclectic band of brothers represented 25 states — half those in the union — as well as Canada's largest province, Ontario. As impressive as these transcontinental treks were, they paled in comparison to those of two attendees visiting from abroad: Milagres Pereira, who traveled some 8,200 miles from Goa, on the west coast of India, and Vinicius Adamo, who journeyed roughly 5,100 miles from Brazil's largest city, São Paulo. Their participation was made possible by the generosity of another Church Militant supporter. Read more
St. John Vianney — Too Harsh for Our Time?
St. John Vianney, the Curé D'Ars was proactive in fighting against all sin. As the town square dances, common in Ars during the Curé's pastorate led his parishioners to debauchery and sin, he colluded with the town's mayor and banned them altogether. Ars during St. John Vianney's long tenure as pastor became known as a town without any dancing, but even more importantly, for the holiness of its citizens. Read more
