The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is calling for a celebration of mass migration and open borders amid an unprecedented deluge of illegal migrants passing into and throughout the country. The USCCB announced the celebration of National Migration Week, scheduled this year from Sept. 18 to 24. The annual event, intended to bring attention to the plight of migrants in the United States and around the world, culminates with World Day of Migrants and Refugees, established by the Holy See over 100 years ago. Nevada Babies in Mortal Danger
Pro-abortion zealots in Nevada want to add a question about abortion access to the state's 2024 ballot. The coalition of pro-abortion enthusiasts, which consists of Planned Parenthood, NARAL Pro-Choice Nevada and the ACLU of Nevada, filed a petition with the secretary of state's office to secure a ballot question on enshrining abortion in Nevada's Constitution. CA Governor Claims Conservatives Push Misinformation

While many Americans this week were remembering the 9/11 attacks against their country, the U.S. bishops' conference was attacking Republican attempts to secure the southern border and praising the Biden administration for asking Congress to spend billions of taxpayer dollars in line with the conference's shared beliefs on open borders. Michigan Catholics Win Battle for Religious Freedom
A Catholic group in Michigan is celebrating a big win for religious freedom after a lengthy battle with a local township. On Sept. 11, the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Catholic Healthcare International (CHI), allowing the group to post religious displays, including the Stations of the Cross, on its property. The religious group controls the 40-acre wooded parcel in Genoa Township in Southeast Michigan that was originally gifted to them by the diocese of Lansing. Read more

A former New Orleans priest is being indicted on four charges, including raping a teenage boy. Father Lawrence Hecker was indicted Thursday by Louisiana state prosecutors in New Orleans on charges of aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping, one count of aggravated crime against nature and one count of theft. The Archdiocese of Seattle is requesting every pastor of a parish tender his resignation in what appears to be a seismic shift of spiritual leadership and a consolidation of collapse.
