Critics are wondering why the Centers for Disease Control is claiming it was not planning on reviving mask mandates, despite reports to the contrary. They are also asking why the CDC is no longer collecting data on adverse reactions to COVID-19 vaccinations. A jury handed guilty verdicts to five pro-lifers on Tuesday, charging them with blocking access to an abortion mill and conspiring to violate civil rights. Each defendant could face up to 11 years in prison. The jury deliberated for a day and a half before convicting each defendant of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act in connection with a 2020 rescue mission at a late-term abortion mill in the U.S. capital. The FACE Act strictly prohibits individuals from attempting to injure, intimidate or obstruct (using force, threats of force or physical barriers) anyone seeking or performing an abortion. Read more

McCarrick is the highest-ranking Catholic prelate — now defrocked — to face criminal charges in the clergy sex abuse scandal.
