On Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, a Padre Pio festival will be celebrated at the National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi and its famous Porziuncola Nuova in San Francisco. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is calling for a celebration of mass migration and open borders amid an unprecedented deluge of illegal migrants passing into and throughout the country. The USCCB announced the celebration of National Migration Week, scheduled this year from Sept. 18 to 24. The annual event, intended to bring attention to the plight of migrants in the United States and around the world, culminates with World Day of Migrants and Refugees, established by the Holy See over 100 years ago. Pro-abortion zealots in Nevada want to add a question about abortion access to the state's 2024 ballot. The coalition of pro-abortion enthusiasts, which consists of Planned Parenthood, NARAL Pro-Choice Nevada and the ACLU of Nevada, filed a petition with the secretary of state's office to secure a ballot question on enshrining abortion in Nevada's Constitution. CA Governor Claims Conservatives Push Misinformation

US Bishops Still Shilling Biden Admin’s Borderless Beliefs
While many Americans this week were remembering the 9/11 attacks against their country, the U.S. bishops' conference was attacking Republican attempts to secure the southern border and praising the Biden administration for asking Congress to spend billions of taxpayer dollars in line with the conference's shared beliefs on open borders. In a letter to Congress dated Sept. 11, 2023, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) expressed its mostly positive views on the Biden administration's Aug. 10, 2023, request for emergency supplemental funding in fiscal year 2024 and several items in the administration's subsequent continuing resolution anomalies request for the same period. A Catholic prelate in New Mexico is praising the state's radical Democrat governor for attempting to ban firearms. Santa Fe's Abp. John Wester is supporting Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, a self-identifying Catholic, after her recent executive order banning individuals from carrying guns publicly in Bernalillo County for 30 days. Read more
