Bishops from Colorado and Kansas are designating August to spiritual warfare against social evils, including the Wuhan virus, anti-Catholic violence and abortion.
Archbishop Samuel Aquila of Denver last week designated a daily Rosary for the month of August, listing a few intentions for:
Aquila attacked the Left's idea of freedom in the past, saying it's not a Catholic one — "The American concept of freedom accepts all choices as something to be celebrated and equal" — explaining that humans "reach our potential when we are able to choose what is good."
The inspiration for the crusade came from Wichita bishop Carl Kemme, who on July 22 slated the month of August for his own crusade, following his statement on anti-Catholic hate crimes: "Violent riots resulting in the deaths of innocent victims and the destruction of public monuments and private property are also grave evils."
He offered similar intentions for:
Their goal is to seek intercession from our Blessed Mother, whom numerous saints such as Pope St. John Paul II, St. Pio of Pietrelcina and St. Dominic advocated for in the past.
With Catholic statues coming down, churches set ablaze and various "pro-choice" candidates running for office in the 2020 election, both bishops are calling on faithful Catholics to fight.
