Brussels vs. Warsaw

Poland's new battles

November 11, 2021  0

Before the Berlin Wall fell — even before the Hungarian Uprising of 1956 — ordinary citizens in Catholic Poland were pushing back against the tyranny of communism.

Poland is still pushing back but is now besieged both by the European Union (EU) and by forces within its own ranks.

Martina Moyski sheds light on Poland's latest struggles.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki: "I'm coming to my end [of remarks]. But don't disturb me, please."

Poland's powerful neighbors have been strong-arming the Catholic country for centuries, erasing it from the map of Europe, invading it to start a world war, sending in international LGBT lobbies to dislodge its Faith.

Now the EU is bristling over a recent decision of Poland's highest court asserting Polish courts could overrule EU ones.

For this perceived affront, the unelected political masters of the EU slapped Poland with "a daily penalty payment in an amount of one million euros."

Mateusz Morawiecki: "It is not acceptable to impose decisions on others without legal basis. It is not acceptable to use financial blackmail ... I reject politicians blackmailing or threatening Poland."

Adding insult to injury, the EU is delaying a COVID-19 economic relief package for 36 billion euros.

Back in September, the EU launched legal action against Poland because parents in various towns throughout the country spoke out against LGBT ideology being pumped into the schools.

Poland also suffers from traitors — smitten with the globalist agenda — siding with the EU.

Radosław Sikorski: "I would expect Poland to fulfill the judgment of the European court. There's no way around it. If you're a nationalist, then of course you can't accept that rules apply."

Even the United States is getting in on the action. At a recent commission hearing, Democrats in Congress aligned with the EU are considering the removal of U.S. troops from Poland.

The attacks are fierce and formidable. How Catholic Poland will sustain them is not clear. But its enduring insistence on God-centered governance must not be overlooked.

In addition, sanctions leveled against Poland by Brussels from its perch in Western Europe, Poland is now being assaulted by hordes of migrants on its eastern border with Belarus.

The mass migration is engineered by the Soviet-style dictator of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, in retaliation for EU sanctions.
