Rob McCann: "I am a racist. For me, saying I'm not racist is like saying a fish is not wet."
The Catholic Charities CEO of Eastern Washington Rob McCann is calling every white person in America a racist.
In a video released late last week, McCann claimed white people need to repent of their inherent racism.
McCann: "We can't avoid that reality until we speak it and ask for forgiveness with a love that takes action to repair."
McCann stressed support for Black Lives Matter (BLM), disregarding its advocacy of violence and participation in numerous riots: "Catholic Charities supports Black Lives Matter ... in its purest, non-violent form, it is a Christ-like movement that honors the Church's teaching that we must give a preferential option to those who are marginalized."
BLM's website lays out its goals to "disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure," as well as to "dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift black trans folk."
In calling all whites racist, McCann echoes the Maryland bishops who also called themselves racist earlier in the month. He and Catholic Charities are silent on BLM's violence and vandalism, portraying the Church as in need of forgiveness.
McCann: "Please forgive us our trespasses and please embrace us."
