Pro-Lifers Protesting Prelates

Hold Catholic politicians accountable

June 11, 2021  0

Abortion is the preeminent tragedy challenging Catholics in America. Bishops and priests should be 100% committed to the fight to end abortion, but many, however, are not. Church Militant's Trey Blanton is breaking the news on one pro-life organization demanding more from bishops.

Students for Life often stare down aggression on the battlefield to save the preborn and build a culture of life in America. The pro-life organization, next week, will challenge the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to do its job and prohibit Communion to obstinate pro-abort politicians.

Lauren Enriquez, deputy media strategist for Students for Life Action, explains why they are petitioning bishops: "54% of women who undergo abortions, identify as either Catholic or Protestant Christians, so it's crucial that our Church leaders are holding public officials accountable to the Catholic beliefs on abortion when they call themselves Catholic."

The Catholic hierarchy, with few exceptions, balks at its responsibility to do something to save lives and souls and even goes so far as to rebuke efforts like the successful "Sanctuary City for the Unborn" initiative.

The bishops routinely attacked President Trump, the most pro-life president to date. But with fake Catholic Joe Biden, the bishops are now undecided on how to handle the unelected president.

Enriquez continues, "Not only are the souls of these public officials who claim to be Catholic imperiled, and the bishops are the shepherds of those people's souls. Also, there is a very tangible loss of life that is happening because of this confusion and this lack of action; lack of faith.

People are encouraged to join the effort to inspire bishops by rallying in various cities, beginning June 16.

Protests will be aimed at Cdl. Blase Cupich in Chicago and Abp. Wilton Gregory in Washington, D.C. to encourage them to reverse their position on allowing Biden to receive Communion sacrilegiously.

Rallies will also be held in support of bishops known to fight for life, including Abp. Salvatore Cordileone (San Francisco, California), Abp. Joseph Naumann (Kansas City, Kansas) and Bp. Joseph Strickland (Tyler, Texas).
